The job will also include stockroom maintenance and control, where duties will mainly consist of organizing the stockroom, controlling inventory, and ensuring stock levels are adequate. The purchaser will be responsible for their own personal objectives which support the department and factory vision, preventative practices, relationships with all departments, safety and levels of quality. The candidate must also have a solid background and understanding of mechanical and electrical components, as well as possessing mechanical aptitude.\nKey / Daily Responsibilities:\nDevelop and maintain effective working relationships across varied internal functions as well as with external contractors, vendors, and suppliers. \nAudits of spare parts inventory, receive invoices, and process paperwork.\nPlan and purchase repair materials and spare parts inventory. \nPlan and purchase consumable inventory. \nWorking with all maintenance team members to build sustainable improvements for parts rooms, processes, and methods. \nEnsure all parts and repair materials are purchased in a cost-effective manner within current company purchasing policies.\nIdentify and bring forward improvement opportunities. \nOther duties as assigned.\nEDUCATION / TRAINING REQUIREMENTS\nMicrosoft Excel proficiency required. \nMMP certificate or financial management courses are an asset. \nIndustry experience is an asset. \nCapital allocation budget management is an asset. \nERP SAP working knowledge preferred. \nCMMS working knowledge preferred. \nAutomotive, RV, Heavy Duty Equipment experience considered. \nHigh School diploma or equivalent required.\nSKILL SET\nHigh mechanical aptitude \nKnowledge of mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic parts used in industrial machinery. \nExcellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills. \nAttention to detail and ability to multitask. \nAbility to operate a forklift. \nAbility to work effectively both independently and in a team environment. \nStrong organizational, planning and time management skills\nSafety:\nPromote safety and department EHS, including safety CAPAs. \nEnsures assigned safety tasks are completed by the target date\nAddresses asset safety concerns in sustained countermeasures in a timely manner\nResponsible to bring forward initiatives to improve/enhance asset safety\nContinuous Improvement: Accountable to identify and bring forward improvement opportunities to the Maintenance Manager /
