You’ll follow good manufacturing practices to maintain inventory, complete preventative maintenance, good housekeeping and ensure compliance with all safety and environmental laws and regulations. If this is something you’re passionate about also, this could be your next great opportunity!\nResponsibilities:\nWork with little to no supervision\nClean and lubricate shafts, bearing, gears, and other parts of machinery\nTroubleshoot/repair machinery such as slitters, collectors, high speed welders, conveyors, and palletizers\nInstall and maintain pipe systems, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment\nRepair and replace gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and other related equipment\nBuilding maintenance including minor plumbing, welding, and general upkeep\nRepair and assess electrical issues as they arise\nAble to familiarize yourself with our CMMS system and log labor/parts according to established expectations\nMust be willing to work overtime, including weekends and off-shifts as required\nMust participate in on-call program and may be required to work additional hours on off shift due to on-call program\nUnderstands quality, PPE requirements, safety, and the importance of complying with safety policies and procedures.\nRequirements:\nHigh School Diploma or equivalent - Technical degree in maintenance-related field preferred\n2 years minimum experience as a maintenance mechanic in metal manufacturing environment with the ability to troubleshoot preferred but not required\nKnowledge of Good Manufacturing Practice ISO9001 standards for metals manufacturing\nPLC experience preferred\nExperience with and ability to use all types of welding, cutting, machine, and hand tools preferred\nExperience in high speed packaging, welding, and mechanical power transmission preferred\nWork Environment:\nWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to walk. The employee is required to stand for long periods of time, use arms and hands to feel or reach, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl on occasion, talk and hear. The employee must occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. The employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee may work with materials that could irritate eyes, skin and breathing. Appropriate personal protective equipment is required. The employee will be working near and/or with high-speed automated equipment. This may cause risk of injury if safety procedures are not followed.
