This position leads or interacts with shift supervisors, operators, engineers, management, maintenance, and customers.\nThis position must know Blow Mold tooling, efficient manufacturing techniques, production scheduling, safety and housekeeping, and maintenance requirements.\nProvide ongoing support to plant injection/blow molding operations to insure quality and delivery performance for the plant. \nEnsures daily adherence to defined procedures and instructions for all food product safety element.\nRefine existing product lines and processes. \nInvestigate and implement advances in tooling, molds and equipment. \nEvaluate and implement material advances. \nAssist in new product specifications and product refinements. \nAssist in new product testing. \nResource for mold and equipment repairs. \nLead the Plant safety program .\nProvide creative leadership in improving operating efficiencies. \nProvide counseling, leadership and direction to the Production (Shift) Supervisors on employee issues and corrective action. \nInterview and select new production employees. \nProvide direction daily on production schedules, machine status, unscheduled down times and the efficient utilization of manpower. \nUnderstands and follows Hazard Materials Regulations 49 CFR Part 172.704 (a)(1) General awareness/familiarization training, (a)(3) Safety training, and (a)(4) Security awareness training. \nCommunicate effectively with other departments and shifts\nRequirements:\nThis position requires a minimum 5 years experience in a related position in the injection/blow molding industry, with a preferred background in packaging manufacturing. Strong leadership and communication skills. BS degree in Manufacturing Technology (or equivalent industry experience) preferred.
