Read blueprints, schematics, diagrams, and PLC troubleshooting.\nResponsibilities:\nPerforms routine preventive maintenance checks on all production equipment and machinery.\nReplaces or repairs parts on machines such as bearings, filters, wiring, valves, gauges and switches and other electrical parts and equipment.\nObserves and listens to mechanical devices in operation to locate causes of trouble.\nDismantles devices to gain access to and remove defective parts and examines form and texture of parts to detect imperfections.\nInspects used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements.\nAdjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments. Repairs or replaces defective parts. Installs special functional and structural parts in devices.\nInitiates purchase order for parts and machines, lubricates, and cleans parts, start devices to test their performance.\nParticipates in on-call program and may be required to work additional hours as required.\nFollows all safety rules and procedures and observes the operations to ensure a safe environment.\nRequirements:\nHigh school diploma or general education degree (GED); plus, one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of training an experience.\nFull and complete understanding of hydraulics, pneumatics, electricity, and PLC troubleshooting.\nPrefer Electrician's License, but not mandatory. \nJob Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:\nMachine set-up, troubleshoots equipment failures, and perform repair and prevent maintenance services ensuring that all safety procedures are being followed.\nMust have strong PLC troubleshooting capability and ability to read and program code.\nMust have good working knowledge of all aspects of electrical controls, mechanical assembly, plumbing, and heating, ventilating and air-conditioning related control systems.\nRead and interpret electrical control and mechanical assembly drawings, as well as service manuals for all equipment.\nTroubleshoot and repair both Electrical and Mechanical problems associated with Production and Facility equipment in a timely manner.\nMust be able to work to repair equipment back to service during emergency breakdowns.\nCompetencies:\nAbility to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.\nAbility to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, and diagram or schedule form. \nPhysical Demands:\nBe able to work 12-hour shifts, 8a-8p or 8p-8am, rotating: 36 hours one week, 48 hours the next. Ability to work overtime when needed.\nWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to reach with hands and arms. They employee frequently is required to stand; walk; and use hands to finger, handle, or feel.\nThe employee is occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move more than 100 pounds with assistance.\nSpecific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. \nWork Environment:\nWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals, risk of electrical shock and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is medium to loud.\nThe pay range for this position is $28-$37.00 per hour.
