Specific accountabilities include: evaluating manufacturing processes to improve product quality, process efficiency, and machine reliability; improving workflow; validating implemented improvements; preparing manufacturing process documentation; and conducting failure analyses.\nResponsibilities:\nManage activities of cost reduction projects - write AFE update reports.\nMonitor and improve machine processes, develop work instructions, and train employees.\nImprove OEE across the plant by using downtime tracking tools and creating Pareto charts of downtime events.\nExperience with IIOT or Industry 4.0 to collect data with the latest technology of integrated downtime tracking tools.\nParticipate in implementing safety improvements.\nEvaluate and improve manufacturing processes by designing and conducting research programs.\nAssist in determining root causes and provide corrective action for customer product complaints.\nParticipate in projects that support reducing downtime and scrap.\nOrganize, plan, and commission new or modified production lines.\nInvestigate operational problems affecting production in a systematic and methodical manner.\nValidate implemented manufacturing process improvements to ensure desired results and sustainability.\nDevelop appropriate manufacturing process documentation for integration into the company’s quality system.\nProvide training to operators, supervisors, and managers on new or modified processes.\nRequirements:\nBachelor’s Degree in an engineering discipline; preferably manufacturing, mechanical, or industrial.\nRecent Engineering graduate with 2 years’ or more experience in Engineering or Manufacturing functions.\nWorking knowledge of high-volume manufacturing.\nWorking knowledge of manufacturing and quality improvement methods, including Lean Manufacturing concepts.\nDesired attainment of nationally recognized certification in manufacturing engineering, such as AME or SME.\nMust be a self-starter with the ability to work alone or in a team environment with limited supervision.\nExcellent computer and data analysis skills.
