This position is responsible for shipping documentation, inventory verification, coordinating warehouse activities, directing forklift drivers, and supporting efficient material flow throughout the facility.\nThe Shipping Coordinator is also cross trained as a backup to the Logistics Coordinator and provides support for logistics activities during vacations, absences, and periods of high workload.\nEssential Functions\nShipping, Receiving & Warehouse Operations\nMaintain shipping and receiving documentation. \nGenerate Bills of Lading (BOLs) and other shipping paperwork. \nVerify inbound and outbound shipments for accuracy. \nComplete cycle counts and inventory verification activities. \nCoordinate daily warehouse activities to support shipping, receiving, inventory, and production requirements. \nDirect forklift drivers and communicate work priorities. \nInvestigate and report shipping discrepancies, inventory variances, and documentation issues. \nNotify management of operational, inventory, or shipment concerns. \nSupport continuous improvement initiatives and maintain compliance with safety and quality standards. \nTransportation & Logistics Support\nCoordinate shuttle movements between facilities as needed. \nMaintain awareness of trailer locations to support shipping and receiving operations. \nServe as backup to the Logistics Coordinator during vacations, absences, and other periods as required. \nAssist with transportation coordination, shipment tracking, and logistics reporting. \nCommunicate with carriers, brokers, customers, and drivers regarding shipment status and transportation issues. \nAssist with freight claims and service-related issues. \nJob Scope\nWorks independently and exercises sound judgment in daily decision-making. \nCoordinates shipping, receiving, inventory control, material movement, and warehouse activities. \nDirects forklift drivers to support operational priorities and workflow efficiency. \nProvides backup support for logistics operations as needed. \nEducation & Experience\nRequired\nHigh School Diploma or GED. \nMinimum 2 years of experience in shipping, receiving, warehouse operations, transportation support, or a related field. \nExperience with shipping documentation, inventory transactions, and warehouse systems. \nPreferred\nExperience coordinating warehouse activities, material movement, or driver assignments. \nExperience in logistics, transportation, dispatching, freight coordination, carrier management, or supply chain operations. \nExperience in a manufacturing or distribution environment. \nExperience with SAP, ERP, WMS, TMS, and other transportation and inventory management systems. \nProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Outlook, Word, and Teams. \nKnowledge, Skills & Abilities\nStrong knowledge of shipping, receiving, inventory control, and warehouse operations. \nUnderstanding of transportation, logistics, dispatching, and material flow processes. \nStrong organizational, communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. \nAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. \nProficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook. \nAbility to work independently and as part of a team. \nAbility to read, write, and speak English. \nBasic mathematical and inventory management skills. \nUnderstanding safety, quality, and PPE requirements. \nPhysical/Visual Demands/Work Environment:\n(Physical and visual activities that are commonly associated * with the performance of the functions of this job)\nWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is constantly required to walk and stand on concrete floors. Frequent amounts of bending, stooping, climbing, pushing and pulling are required. \nThe employee must regularly be able to do light/medium amounts of lifting and carrying (1 - 50lbs) in order to manually unload received materials and distribute to appropriate departments or storage areas. \nThis job is performed in the manufacturing production environment, with some exposure to outside weather elements. \nExposure to high noise levels in some areas, including exposure to oil, and dirt. \nEnvironmental/Atmospheric Conditions:\n(Environmental and atmospheric conditions commonly associated * with the performance of the functions of this job).\nInside conditions, extremes of heat (100+ seasonal), exposure to humidity, working in tight areas, high noise levels from production environment, including some exposure to outside weather elements, oil and dirt.\n“Commonly associated” is not intended to mean always or only.
