We’re growing an ambitious team of people who think in systems, move quickly, and are builders at heart.\nAbout the Role\nAs a Senior Electrical Engineer focused on Power Electronics at Maven Robotics, you will design, develop, and validate power electronics systems that enable reliable and efficient operation of our next-generation robotic platforms. From power architecture and circuit design to PCB development, testing, and integration, you will play a key role in building robust power conversion, distribution, and motor control solutions. You will collaborate closely with mechanical, software, controls, and systems engineering teams to bring advanced robotic hardware from concept to production.\nWhat You’ll Do\nDesign and develop power electronics systems, including DC/DC converters, power distribution circuits, and motor drive electronics for robotic applications.\nDefine power architectures, evaluate component selections, and perform trade studies to optimize efficiency, performance, thermal management, and reliability.\nDevelop schematics and PCBAs for power conversion, motor control, and power management systems from concept through production release.\nPerform circuit simulation, power integrity, thermal analysis, and design validation to ensure safe and reliable operation.\nDesign and integrate power electronics components, including MOSFETs, gate drivers, voltage regulators, and current/voltage sensing circuits.\nCollaborate with mechanical, controls, software, and systems teams to define power requirements, electrical interfaces, and system integration.\nLead hardware bring-up, debugging, testing, and validation of power electronics assemblies and integrated robotic systems.\nPartner with vendors and manufacturers to support component sourcing, PCB fabrication, assembly, and design for manufacturability (DFM).\nWhat We're Looking For\nBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics, Mechatronics, or a related field.\n5+ years of electrical engineering experience designing power electronics, power conversion systems, or motor drive hardware.\nHands-on experience designing DC/DC converters, power distribution systems, motor drives, or battery-powered electronics.\nStrong understanding of power electronics components, including MOSFETs, gate drivers, inductors, capacitors, and current/voltage sensing circuits.\nProficiency with circuit simulation and eCAD tools for schematic capture, PCB layout, and power electronics design.\nExperience with power PCB layout, thermal management, EMI/EMC considerations, and electrical safety.\nExperience with hardware bring-up, troubleshooting, and validation using oscilloscopes, electronic loads, power analyzers, and other diagnostic equipment.\nStrong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to independently drive hardware designs while collaborating across teams.\nNice to Have\nMaster's or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics, or a related field.\nExpert proficiency with Altium Designer.\nExperience with BLDC/PMSM motor drives, inverter design, or field-oriented control (FOC).\nExperience designing battery management, charging, or power distribution systems for mobile robotic platforms.\nFamiliarity with power electronics simulation tools such as LTspice, PLECS, or MATLAB/Simulink.\nExperience designing power electronics for robotics, electric vehicles, industrial automation, or other high-reliability electromechanical systems.\nEqual Opportunity\nMaven Robotics is an equal opportunity employer.
