We’re growing an ambitious team of people who think in systems, move quickly, and are builders at heart.\nAbout the Role\nAs a Senior Engineering Technician at Maven Robotics, you will bridge the gap between engineering concepts and real-world execution. You will work closely with mechanical, electrical and software engineers to build, test, troubleshoot, and refine complex electromechanical systems and prototypes. As a senior member of the technical team, you will also help mentor junior technicians, drive quality, and continually improve our products and lab.\nWhat You’ll Do\nAssembly & Integration: Build, integrate, and modify complex electromechanical prototypes, assemblies, and test fixtures for prototyping and low-volume production\nWiring & Electrical: Perform precision soldering, wire harness assembly, crimping, and custom wiring\nFabrication: Use machining, cutting, drilling, and 3D printing to fabricate and modify prototype components\nTesting & Troubleshooting: Develop test setups, execute test plans, and diagnose mechanical, electrical, and automated system failures\nData Collection & Analysis: Document technical data, analyze test results, and provide clear reports to engineering teams\nProcess Improvement: Improve lab efficiency, SOPs, and assembly and testing procedures.\nLab Maintenance & Safety: Maintain and calibrate equipment, manage inventory, and ensure compliance with robotics lab safety protocols\nMentorship: Provide technical guidance, training, and support to junior technicians and operators\nWhat We’re Looking For\n10+ years of hands-on technician experience in testing, manufacturing, prototyping, or R&D environments\nAssociate degree in Engineering Technology (Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics), vocational certification, or equivalent practical/military experience\nStrong ability to interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams\nProficiency with diagnostic and precision measurement tools, including oscilloscopes, multimeters, calipers, and micrometers\nExperience with CAD software (NX/CATIA), fixture design, machining, and manufacturing processes\nSolid understanding of BLDC/stepper motors, servo drives, and communication interfaces (CAN, EtherCAT, Serial, Ethernet)\nKnowledge of laboratory safety standards, protocols, and best practices\nExcellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills with strong attention to detail\nNice to Have\nExperience with CNC machining processes \nExperience with lab automation tools (e.g., LabVIEW, basic scripting/Python)\nRelevant industry certifications (e.g., IPC standards, Machining/CNC, ISO quality standards)\nPrior experience in a fast-paced R&D or rapid prototyping environment\nEqual Opportunity\nMaven Robotics is an equal opportunity employer.
