Beyond the current field program, the team evaluates new applications for our chemical platform across the oilfield.\nThe Role\nWe are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Analytical Research Associate to join our growing R&D team. In this role, you will support and operate automated liquid handling systems and high-throughput screening workflows that are central to our discovery and development pipeline. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about analytics in the R&D space.\nCore Responsibilities\nOperate, maintain, and troubleshoot liquid handling robots (e.g., Opentrons) for routine and custom assay workflows\nExecute high-throughput screening experiments, including sample preparation, dosing treatments and FTIR and ICP-OES analyses\nPerform basic preventive maintenance and calibration on instrumentation, and coordinate with vendors for more complex service needs\nFollow and contribute to the development of SOPs, protocols, and logs to ensure reproducibility and compliance\nAssist in data collection, entry, and basic analysis using spreadsheets\nContribute to and maintain a clean and organized working environment\nAssist in inventory audits and ordering for the laboratory\nSupport cross-functional efforts to help the technical team meet deadlines\nFollow safety protocols relevant to chemical and BSL-2 laboratories\nQualifications\nBachelor's degree in biochemistry, chemistry , geochemistry, biology, or a related field\n2+ years of hands-on experience in a laboratory setting, with preferred experience using automated liquid handling systems such as Opentrons, Beckman Coulter Biomek, or Eppendorf epMotion\nExperience in analytical chemistry techniques and relevant laboratory equipment\nExcellent attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records \nA propensity for data integrity and precision work \nGood written and verbal communication skills with various audiences (technical and nontechnical) \nAbility to work independently and with a team\nAbility to manage multiple tasks and projects effectively\nKnowledge of laboratory safety protocols and procedures\nExperience with microsoft office suite and google suite\nWilling to travel to other company sites as needed (up to 10% of the time)\nAble to lift up to 50 lbs, reach overhead, and stand for extended periods of time with reasonable accommodation\nAbility to work in a BSL-2 laboratory and with hazardous materials (previous experience preferred)\nOur Values\nCustomer First: Our first and foremost priority is to give customers technology that makes their business more valuable.
