To achieve this bold vision, MAX is raising $100M+ in the next 12 months to permanently transform mobility infrastructure and unlock prosperity across Africa.\nRole Overview: Fleet Operations Manager\nThe Fleet Operationsis expectedto maximize vehicle uptime, maintain flawless digital records in the proprietary Computerized Maintenance Management System (VAMS), streamline the lifecycle from procurement to refurbishment, and foster strong cross-functional collaboration to hit operational targets.\nKey Responsibilities\nDocumentation\nMaintain records of all vehicles within city jurisdiction and maintain records of their status at all times\nEnsure that records entered in VAMS (Our Home grown Computerized maintenance management system) are without errors and reliable\nCollaborate with the Driver Operations team to monitor vehicles to ensure that inactive vehicles in your domain do not exceed 10% at any point in time\nMaintain a record of daily activations in your jurisdiction\nEnsure that every vehicle that enters the facility is checked in and also checked out when it leaves the facility\nVehicle Setup\nSetup of newly procured vehicles within a defined frame and budget\nCoordination of vehicle documentation process to complete the setup loop\nOversee that all vehicles which are activation ready are activated timely\nUpload vehicle information into VAMS accurately\nVehicle Maintenance\nEnsure that all vehicles scheduled for maintenance are checked into the premises and on VAMS\nMaintain detailed records of vehicle maintenance and servicing\nCoordinate with Authorised Service Workshops in his jurisdiction to ensure that service records are entered into VAMS\nLiaise with OEMs to ensure Warranty issues are tracked and closed out\nFollow up and ensure that insurance claims are closed out within the allocated time and ensure vehicles are restored to service\nEnsure compliance with all Federal, State and Local laws related to the repair of vehicles and equipment use and care\nResponsible for maintenance of all operational vehicles in jurisdiction (These include vehicles used by verification, retrieval teams, etc.)\nVehicle Refurbishment\nEnsure that vehicles deactivated or churned are immediately assessed and planned for refurbishment\nFollow up to ensure that churned vehicles are re-certified within the period set up in the SOP\nWork with the growth team to ensure that recertified vehicles are activated in a timely manner with zero refurbishment returns\nAdministrative Function\nManage subordinates' teams to boost morale and drive collaboration between the teams\nResponsible for managing the performance of direct reports to drive accountability\nEfficiently manage disbursed petty cash to ensure accountability\nRequirements\n3-5 years of progressive experience in fleet management, logistics operations, or workshop management.\nExperience in startups, mobility, fintech, logistics, marketplaces, or tech-enabled businesses is strongly preferred.\nDemonstrated track record of managing fleet maintenance systems, OEM warranties, and insurance claims.\nSkills & Competencies\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.\nAdvanced proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets and data visualization tools.\nStrong team leadership and performance management capabilities.\nExcellent stakeholder management and communication skills.\nStrong execution discipline with the ability to manage multiple priorities.\nCommercially minded with strong business acumen.\nEducation\nBachelor's degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Technology, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline.\nMBA or relevant certifications is an advantage.\nWant to Join Us?
