If you want to make an impact, solve complex technical puzzles, and help defend critical systems, this is a place where your skills matter and your ideas shape the future of technology.\n We have an immediate need for a DevOps engineer for a customer in Chantilly, Virginia.\nPrimary Responsibilities:\nDevelop and/or modify custom applications and scripts implemented across multiple platforms\nMaintain custom software applications and services\nRecommend and implement improvements to existing software solutions\nMaintain system architecture to ensure versatility and consistency across multiple platforms\nProvide input to software configuration and system documentation, improvements to capabilities, build roadmaps, and update software as required\nAttend meetings and reviews\nCommunicate with internal team members across multiple areas, the program manager, and customer team members\nCommunicate with external parties such as mission partners and vendors as required\n Required Qualifications:\nActive TS/SCI w/polygraph\nDemonstrated custom development experience using Linux based servers and appliances\nDemonstrated 3+ years of experience using Rust and/or Python to develop applications and services.\nExperience with Rust strongly preferred; candidates with a demonstrated ability to quickly learn new languages will also be considered\nDemonstrated experience implementing automation tools using Ansible\nDemonstrated experience implementing custom apps using Docker containers\nDemonstrated experience in maintaining custom application code bases\nDemonstrate strong written/verbal communications, problem solving, organizational and interpersonal skills including willingness and ability to document and share information\nAble to work well in a team environment and as an individual contributor\nExperience with agile development methodologies\nDesired Qualifications:\nKnowledgeable of the following programming languages and IT technologies\nRust (e.g. Actix, Rocket, or Warp, Wasm for client-side Rust Code)\nPython\nVMWare\nUbuntu Server\nWindows Server\nSamba\nLinux Firejail\nDockerLeidos Proprietary\nAnsible\nGithub / Gitlab\nSquid\nGreylog\nSQL / Posgresql\nKnowledgeable in developing automation solutions for routine processes such as alerting and logging (e.g.\nPowerShell for scripting automation)\nKnowledgeable of web-based application development and best practices\nKnowledgeable of custom browser plugin development\nUnderstanding of RESTful APIs and microservices architecture\nAbility to integrate AI models into web applications\nPreferred Certifications Areas or similar:\nSecurity+\nITIL v3 Foundation\nCertified System Administrator\nCertified Ethical Hacker (CEH)\nWeb Application Pen Testing Certifications\n All your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines. #CJ\nAt MAXISIQ, inclusion drives innovation.
