In this role, you will focus on the following:\nReview purchase requisitions, ensuring price, description, vendor, and approval routing are correct\nIssue, monitor, and maintain purchase orders (POs), and provide updates, follow-up, and assist in receiving and invoice issues\nResearch hard-to-find materials and find options for parts with long lead times\nEnsure credit card orders are best value with appropriate approvals and accounted for properly with sufficient documentation; provide monthly reconciliation to invoices\nLead Purchasing staff in daily tasks and provide training and mentoring\nConduct data analysis and provide reports to Accounting and Finance\nProvide guidance and recommendation on handling of purchases based on amount, category, currency, entity, country, and any non-standard requirements\nTrain others on the purchasing process and proper documentation; maintain current training materials\nProvide documentation and information requested by auditors\nInitiate and collaborate on process improvement to streamline purchasing\nHandle urgent changes and occasional communication with foreign entities in different time zones\nQualifications\nExperience in purchasing, managing full requisition process, and sourcing a range of materials\nFamiliar with purchasing process and able to detect anomalies and investigate timely\nSupervisory experience, providing guidance for career growth and development\nGood communication skills with all levels of company’s stakeholders and external contacts\nExperience in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines, maintaining details and accuracy\nAdvanced Excel and experience using ERP systems and Microsoft Office\nBachelors in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or related + 6 years of experience, or Masters + 5 years of experience\nCompensation and Benefits\nMaxLinear has a Total Compensation philosophy which includes base salary and annual discretionary bonus eligibility and many positions also include stock-based compensation.\nMaxLinear's good faith estimate starting base salary range is: $70,000 to $86,000Annually\nWe offer competitive benefits designed to support employee health, welfare, and retirement and some highlights are: health care benefits, 401k savings plan, Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP), and paid time off.\nThe actual starting base salary will be determined by the match to certain role-related criteria such as educational degree(s) or equivalent, relevant work experience, skillset needed for the role, and geographic location; this is not an all-inclusive list as some roles may require unique skills or experience.\nQualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to, and will not be discriminated against based on race, sex, religion, national origin, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability, or protected veteran status.\nCompany Overview\nMaxLinear is a global, NASDAQ-traded company (MXL) where the entrepreneurial spirit is alive and well.
