The candidate will work closely with customer system and vehicle architects, hardware and software engineering teams, functional safety, testing and validation, quality, and project management teams to ensure that product requirements are complete, traceable, technically feasible, and verifiable.\nThe candidate will also be responsible for establishing and improving system engineering processes, mentoring the system engineering team, and ensuring timely delivery of high-quality system engineering artifacts across projects.\nResponsibilities\nWork closely with (customers') system and vehicle architects to understand and derive system requirements\nDefine functional requirements, technical requirements, robustness and reliability requirements for the product\nConduct systems- failure modes and effects analysis (SFMEA) and design-failure modes and effects analysis (DFMEA)\nModeling system level and vehicle level use cases and maintaining version controlled summary of traceability\nDeriving system state and mode flow machine and behavior of the product and its effect on vehicle for each state and mode\nPreparing logical architecture and technical architecture with component owners ensuring internal alignment among each component owners\nPreparing signal interface specifications for each derived signals interacting between the logical and physical components\nHands on with implementing V-cycle\nGood knowledge on safety standards ISO-26262 and cybersecurity standards\nReview and communicate the requirements with HW teams, SW teams, test teams, customers.\nMentor, hire, and train the system engineers.\nMust-Have Requirements\nBachelors or Masters in electronic or similar engineering with 10+ years of experience.\nMinimum hands on experience of system engineering for 3 products from requirement phase to production.\nGood understanding of automotive architecture, electrical and electronic systems within automotive electric vehicles- EVs and HEVs\nBasic know how on battery management systems\nHands on with any automotive function development\nGood understanding on interfaces like CAN, LIN, SPI, I2C, Microcontroller architectures, DC-DC converters, electronic control units, relay drivers, solid state relays/ PDU, automotive ethernet, UDS diagnostics protocol, OBD, etc\nTeam player and good at cross functional work abilities\nCapable of defining the process of handling the requirements with the help of project management and technical management\nHands on with DOORs or any other requirement management tools\nAwareness on ISO26262 functional safety and cyber security ISO21434
