About the role - As a QA Automation Engineer you will design, develop, and maintain automated test suites to ensure the quality of web applications. This entry-level position offers hands-on experience with modern testing tools in a collaborative, on-site environment.
Key responsibilities
Develop and execute automated test scripts using Selenium WebDriver and Java.
Implement test frameworks with TestNG for functional, regression, and performance testing.
Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins.
Validate RESTful APIs by creating and running API test suites.
Maintain test code in Git, ensuring proper version control and code reviews.
Collaborate with developers and product owners to clarify requirements and reproduce defects.
Document test results, defects, and test coverage metrics for stakeholder reporting.
Required qualifications
Fundamental knowledge of Selenium WebDriver and Java programming.
Experience writing automated tests with TestNG.
Understanding of REST API concepts and ability to test endpoints.
Basic proficiency with Git for source control.
Familiarity with Jenkins or similar CI tools.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
Nice to have
Exposure to Python for scripting or test data generation.
Experience with additional testing tools such as Postman or RestAssured.
Knowledge of containerization (Docker) and its impact on testing environments.
Understanding of Agile/Scrum development processes.
