Join us.\nJob Summary\nAs an Autonomous Vehicle (AV) Operations Specialist you will work independently and alongside your teammates to ensure a safe and positive experience for our riders, Autonomous Vehicle Operators (AVOs), and customers by coordinating daily logistics as well as supporting our Autonomous Vehicles during operations. You will report directly to the Site Operations Manager and will be vital in ensuring May Mobility exceeds expectations for customer satisfaction.\nEssential Responsibilities\nMonitor and support autonomous vehicles in real time during operations\nEnsure that operations during each shift follow rigorous safety guidelines\nFollow daily protocols and track site performance metrics to systematically improve outcomes\nAddress technical problems and coordinate with engineering teams for timely resolutions\nTrain and help develop autonomous vehicle operators by conducting team huddles and coaching through video review or ride-alongs\nMonitor health of vehicles at all times using company tools for observation\nLog real time feedback regarding autonomy performance to be sent to engineers\nMaintain accurate records of vehicle operations and performance\nInvestigate and complete accident reports, incident escalations, and customer complaints\nInteract with the public as an ambassador for May Mobility’s technology \nTest software changes with focus on safety and communicate clear feedback\nMay travel to other sites for coverage and support as needed\nOther duties as assigned\nSkills and Abilities\nSuccess in this role typically requires the following competencies:\nStrong technical aptitude and ability to learn new software and processes \nData collection and organization\nAbility to communicate effectively\nAbility to coach and lead by example\nStrong written and verbal communication skills across multiple platforms; strict attention to detail in every situation\nHigh comfort level with making judgment calls in ambiguous situations\nUnderstanding of best practices when it comes to top-notch customer service\nAbility to work effectively with team members at all levels of the organization\nProficiency with a laptop and Google suite applications (Gmail, sheets, docs, etc.) \nQualifications and Experience\nCandidates most successful in this role typically hold the following qualifications or comparable knowledge or experience:\nRequired Qualifications:\nEager to take on a first-time people management role and grow as a confident, inspiring leader.\nExperience taking leadership of processes and driving continuous improvement in a fast-adapting and customer-focused environment.\nPrevious experience working at a technology focused company \nExperience working in Google Suite Application (Gmail, sheets, docs, etc.)\nValid U.S. Driver's License\nDesirable Qualifications:\nExperience as a leader in a fast-adapting and customer-focused environment\nAssociates degree or higher in Business, Technical Operations, or related area\nPrior experience in operations or logistics or Fleet Management \nPhysical Requirements\nStandard site working conditions which includes but is not limited to:\nMust be able to remain in a stationary position 50% or more of the time\nMust be able to move and / or change positions often when needed\nProlonged computer use\nFlexibility to work weekends and adjust schedule to align with site operating hours and project needs, including early mornings, evenings, and holidays as required.\nAbility to lift up to 50 lbs\nAbility to stand for prolonged periods of time and climb ladders (infrequent)\nAbility to work outdoors in varying temperatures and weather conditions\nExpected Travel: 0%-10%\nBenefits and Perks\nComprehensive healthcare suite including medical, dental, vision, life, and disability plans.
