Join us.\nJob Summary\nMay Mobility is looking for a Senior Autonomy Engineer for hands-on support of new fleet deployments. FAEs work intimately with the entire breadth of the system (from the hardware platform to the software autonomy stack), serving as the Engineering team’s on-site specialist for new and existing fleets. The role includes significant travel - up to 50%.\nEssential Responsibilities\nLead and coordinate the launch of new site deployments of autonomous vehicle services\nCoordinates and develops the on-site configuration and deployment of autonomous technology in new locations\nScouts locations to identify and resolve novel technical challenges associated with specific traffic environments\nActs as a technical company representative to customers and the general public\nCoordinates and performs demonstrations of the autonomous technology for potential customers\nCollaborates with Engineers across the organization to identify and develop features to expand system capability and improve the rider experience\nMentor junior Field Autonomy Engineers to assist in their professional growth and development\nQualifications and Experience\nCandidates most successful in this role typically hold the following qualifications or comparable knowledge or experience:\nRequired\nBachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Robotics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related degree\n7 + years of relevant experience\nOutstanding oral and written communication skills\nDemonstrated hands-on experience designing and implementing mechanical and electrical hardware and/or experience developing or editing software\nHunger to develop a detailed understanding of every part of the autonomous system\nWorking knowledge of any of C, C++, Python, Java, or similar programming languages\nPrior experience with mobile robotics and/or autonomous vehicles\nExperience operating in a Linux environment, including familiarity with common Linux command line utilities\nWillingness and ability to travel (up to 50%)\nAbility to operate and drive May Mobility vehicles \nValid U.S. driver’s license and clean driving record\nWillingness to undergo a driving record check\nDesirable\nMaster’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering\nExperience designing and developing software in C,C++, and/or Python environments\nPhysical Requirements\nStandard office working conditions which includes but is not limited to:\nProlonged sitting\nProlonged standing\nProlonged computer use\nTravel required? - Frequent: 26%-50%\nBenefits and Perks\nComprehensive healthcare suite including medical, dental, vision, life, and disability plans.
