Senior Platform Product Specialist

CORE PROFILE

As a Sr Platform Product Specialist, you'll be assisting the lead of Core Platforms (IAU) by contributing to Maya’s product platform strategy and execution of roadmaps for Identities and Access Management (IAM) and Accounts Management. The role requires strong product management capability combined with demonstrable technical depth in IAM-gained through either hands-on IAM engineering experience or experience defining and delivering technically complex IAM platform capabilities.

The candidate must be able to explain how IAM components and integrations work, assess technical trade-offs, and translate business, security, and regulatory needs into clear platform requirements. This includes practical knowledge of authentication and authorization standards, with OAuth 2.0 as a key requirement. The role also requires strong data-driven decision-making and a hands-on AGILE approach throughout the product development lifecycle (PDLC).

NATURE OF WORK

• In this role, you will be primarily responsible for managing Core Platforms for Identities, Access and Account Management (IAM)
• The Core Platform Product Specialist for (IAM) and Accounts Management

-Own the core platforms of Identity and Access management that enable customers and internal teams to safely onboard, authenticate, and transact within Maya. This role ensures that every customer interaction-from registration to daily usage across Maya’s channels and products-happens in a way that is secure, compliant, reliable, and scalable, while also enabling internal teams to build and operate services efficiently.

-Own the Accounts Management platform that governs customer account status, lifecycle, and wallet limits, acting as the central control layer that enforces access, transaction eligibility, and regulatory constraints across Maya’s products and services.

-Define technically sound platform requirements for IAM capabilities and integrations. Work with engineering and architecture teams to describe end-to-end flows, APIs, data and token exchanges, security controls, failure scenarios, and non-functional requirements. The role must be able to challenge proposed solutions and make informed trade-offs across security, scalability, reliability, customer experience, and delivery effort.

• Documentation -Ensure Current capabilities and changes are properly documented via Product Requirements Documents (PRDs), Service Memos and other documentation needed to enable Maya channels and services.
• Market Research: Conduct in-depth market analysis within the Philippines FinTech Sector, staying attuned to industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging opportunities. Use this knowledge to determine key product strategies.
• User-Centered Design: Champion user-centered design principles, ensuring that products are intuitive, user-friendly, and meet the needs of our customers.
• Risk and Compliance: Collaborate closely with compliance and legal teams to ensure products adhere to relevant regulations and security standards set by the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) and other regulators.
• Data-Driven Decisions: Leverage data analytics and customer insights to drive product enhancements, optimize user experiences, and maximize revenue.
• Collaborative Cross-Functional Work: Work closely with business, product, engineering, design, marketing, and customer support teams to ensure successful product development, marketing, and customer engagement.
• Financial Analysis: Monitor the financial performance of your product portfolio, tracking revenue, expenses, and profitability. Identify opportunities for revenue growth and cost optimization.

DISPLAYED SKILL MASTERY

• Strong technical understanding of IAM architecture and security concepts, including authentication versus authorization, identity lifecycle, session and token management, federation, public key infrastructure, and common threat and control patterns.
• Demonstrable knowledge of OAuth 2.0, including authorization roles, common grant types and flows, access and refresh tokens, scopes, consent, token validation, revocation, and security considerations. Familiarity with OpenID Connect, SAML, JSON Web Tokens, and API authorization patterns is strongly preferred.
• Proficiency in AGILE software and product development lifecycles framework
• Proficiency in using data analytics tools and techniques to make data-driven decisions, monitor product performance, and identify areas for improvement.
• Experience in using AI tools (such as Cursor)
• Roll-out strategy and implementation
• Stakeholder management skills and management of the product prioritization and roadmap
• Excellent communication skills to convey complex findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify and address product-related challenges in the dynamic fintech landscape.
• Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and mentor junior team members.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• At least 5 years of relevant experience in product management, engineering, architecture, or a related role, including ownership of platform-level capabilities, cross-functional delivery, and data-driven product decisions.
• Required technical background: The candidate must have either (A) hands-on engineering experience building or integrating IAM capabilities, or (B) deep technical IAM knowledge gained through product, architecture, security, or platform roles. In either case, the candidate must be able to explain how IAM solutions work beyond rollout or implementation coordination and must demonstrate practical knowledge of OAuth 2.0.
• Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Computer Science/Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven track record of successfully launching and managing consumer-based financial technology products.
• Proficiency in AGILE development methodologies.
• Preferably with an understanding of financial services, operations, regulations, and industry-specific challenges.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights. (familiarity with SQL is a plus!)

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, to convey complex findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
