Developer

Job description:

• Develop, debug, test, and enhance application components supporting Regulatory reporting requirements based on approved business and technical specifications.
• Provide Level 1 and Level 2 application support by investigating incidents, troubleshooting issues, and escalating complex problems when required.
• Support day-to-day application operations, including system monitoring, defect tracking, and service request fulfilment.
• Participate in application maintenance activities such as patch deployment, configuration updates, and system health checks.
• Assist in performing root cause analysis and implementing fixes for application issues under the guidance of senior team members.
• Support Regulatory reporting data integration, basic ETL activities, API testing, data validation, and data analysis to ensure accurate and complete reporting outputs.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation, user guides, and support procedures.
• Collaborate with developers, infrastructure teams, vendors, and business users to resolve issues and deliver enhancements.
• Participate in testing activities, including unit testing, system integration testing (SIT), and user acceptance testing (UAT) support.
• Continuously learn and apply new technologies, development practices, and support processes to improve technical competency.

Job requirement:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in information system engineering / computer science
• Programming languages: hands-on proficiency in Python and working knowledge of Java and JavaScript languages.
• Understanding of API development and system integration concepts.
• Familiarity with web application development frameworks (e.g., Spring Boot, React, Angular, or equivalent).
• Working knowledge of SQL, relational databases, and basic ETL processes for extracting, transforming, validating, and loading Regulatory reporting data.
• Ability to develop, debug, test, and enhance application components through the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
• Familiarity with Git/version control tools is an advantage.
• Regulatory reporting data analytics, analytical, and problem-solving skills, including validation of data accuracy, completeness, and reporting outputs.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to identify and resolve coding issues.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Eagerness to learn new technologies and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
