This person excels in a fast-paced, hardware-based startup environment. They possess excellent technical and analytical skills and can effectively manage small projects while collaborating across departments.\nKey Responsibilities\nDetermine technical specifications for sub-systems and components to meet overall product development requirements\nCollaborate across teams and departments to determine root cause of issues, identify corrective actions, and implement design changes to improve existing products and processes\nCreate complex mechanical designs, drawings and documentation for parts and assemblies following DFX principles to develop the most efficient and high-quality products.\nDrive sub-system development and sustaining activities including project and resource planning, gathering of documentation and requirements, and execution of ECOs.\nWork closely with manufacturing and operations to ensure a smooth transition from concept to a fully scalable high-quality product\nQualifications\nBachelor's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or similar field.\n1-3 years working experience in mechanical design\nA proven track record of bringing mechanical concepts to reality\nPreferred Skills and Experience\nExperience in Ansys or equivalent analysis software\nWorking knowledge of the ASME Y14.5 dimensioning and tolerancing standard\nExperience working with product safety standards (NRTL and CE)\nStrong hands-on experience building prototypes, test apparatus, and fixtures.\nMachine shop and fabrication skills\nMaybell Quantum is solving incredibly challenging problems at the cutting edge of physics and engineering.
