This role focuses on quality, safety, and compliance across instrument decontamination, packaging, sterilization, and distribution processes, ensuring regulatory standards and infection prevention practices are consistently met.\nYou will oversee operational functions across sterile processing, including:\nDecontamination, packaging, sterilization, and distribution workflows\nStaffing alignment to workload and operational demand\nEquipment maintenance, preventive processes, and quality compliance\nPartnering with education and quality leaders to ensure regulatory standards are met\nHiring, performance management, and development of team members\nProcess improvement initiatives focused on quality, efficiency, and regulatory readiness \nIn addition, this role:\nSupports policy development, education, and quality assurance initiatives\nLeads through coaching, teaching, and development of team members\nPartners with leadership on process improvement and ensures regulatory readiness and compliance\nAbout the RDS / Sterile Processing Team\nThe sterile processing team focuses on the decontamination, packaging, sterilization, and distribution of surgical instruments and equipment. Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office, Excel) in word processing, spreadsheet, and computer data entry skills are necessary. \nKnowledge of reprocessing principles, quality assurance, inventory control, and continuous performance improvement concepts is preferred. \nMust be able to read, write, and understand English. \nDemonstrates excellent analytical skills, written and oral communication skills and ability to meet project timelines. \nLicense or Certification\nCRCST certification (Certified Registered Central Service Technician) required within 18 months of departmental hire.\nVisa sponsorship is not available for this position.
