This role provides technical support for equipment integration, engineering changes while collaborating with cross-functional teams and global partners to ensure safe, high-quality, and efficient operations.\nWhat You Do\nCoordinate and execute equipment vendor buyoffs to validate safety, quality, cycle time, ergonomic, and functional requirements in accordance with company manufacturing standards.\nSupport equipment debugging, troubleshooting, and process stabilization activities during launch phases to achieve production targets related to safety, quality, cost, and delivery.\nDevelop and implement effective countermeasures for equipment, process, and production issues through root cause analysis and continuous improvement activities.\nSupport controls and automation activities including PLC troubleshooting, robot integration, torque systems, vision systems, poka-yoke devices, and automated material handling equipment.\nReview equipment specifications, layouts, and technical documentation to ensure alignment with manufacturing requirements and production objectives.\nCollaborate cross-functionally with Production Engineering, Manufacturing, Maintenance, Quality, Suppliers, and external partners to ensure successful equipment integration and launch execution.\nEnsure compliance with safety standards, production readiness requirements, and operational excellence principles throughout project execution.\nEstablish strong team member relations at all levels and support coaching, mentoring, teamwork, and inclusion initiatives.\nCollaborate with international team members from Mazda, Toyota, and other customers.\nRunning daily reports for KPI management of Quality & Productivity to help improve cost.\nUpdate timing and status of Engineering changes within Mazda unique and MTM specific databases and systems\nSupporting Engineering team with the creation of Standard operating procedures for process related equipment, tooling, etc. and submit them into the document control system\nResearch and procure materials required for production processes as directed by engineering team to support Process change for new model introduction or process improvement activities\nDevelop and maintain a database of spare parts and drawings for unique jigs, fixtures, tooling, etc.\nSetup and maintain a database of parts using SAP\nCreate or reverse engineer unique parts use CAD or other 3D software as required for production\nSupport with installation and initial setup of tools, pick lights and other production process needs\nAbility to work rotating shifts\nAbility to work outside of typical business hours and travel as needed (domestically and internationally)\nWhat You Bring\nDemonstrated experience with AutoCAD or other design-related software (i.e. Solid Works, CATIA)\nMust be able to demonstrate proficiency with or analyzing technical drawings or specifications or part drawings and manuals / instructions\nProficient with Microsoft Office applications (Teams, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)\nHigh School Diploma or GED\nWhat Will Set You Apart\n3 years of demonstrated project management work experience\nBachelor’s Degree (or higher) in Engineering, Industrial Technology, another technical field\nExperience working with vendors and coordinating schedules\nExperience in automotive manufacturing, assembly production engineering, or launch engineering in a SEIBI role\nStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in automated manufacturing environments.\nExperience with equipment startup, conveyor systems, robotics, fastening systems, or assembly tooling\nWhat We Offer\nAt Mazda Toyota Manufacturing USA Inc., we offer the opportunity to end each day with a smile and a sense of pride in the work that you do.
