The ideal candidate will be able to perform conventional and complex bridge and structure designs, load ratings, and bridge inspections as well as enjoy involvement in the development and teaching of state-of-the-art bridge training material.\nWhat You’ll Do:\nPerforming and managing structure tasks on conventional and complex multi-discipline projects from design through construction\nPerforming and managing structure load ratings on conventional and complex bridges using hand calculations through finite element methods\nStrong technical ability able to lead, perform, and check bridge and structure designs to ensure accuracy with design codes and client requirements\nAbility to coordinate and communicate with other disciplines effectively\nDevelopment of and adherence to scope, schedule and budget for structure tasks\nAbility to support bridge and structure proposal development through strong technical writing\nAbility to develop creative and innovative cost saving modifications to conventional designs through construction/value engineering opportunities\nAbility to lead bridge inspections\nAbility to develop and teach bridge design training courses and reference manuals\nWhat You Need to Succeed:\nBachelor of Science in Structural Engineering from ABET Accredited University\nMasters of Science in Structural Engineering a plus\n5+ years of bridge design, analysis, and training material development/teaching\nIndiana P.E. or ability to obtain within 6 months\nExpert with finite element software and other bridge design software\nExcellent written and oral communication skills\nSelf-motivated, flexible, and able to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment\nStrong organizational and time-management skills\nCertified Bridge Safety Inspection (CBSI) preferred.\nFracture Critical Inspection certification preferred.\nThis position does not offer sponsorship.\nCompensation\nThe approximate compensation range for this position is $78,000 to $128,000. This compensation range is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting.
