The ideal candidate will work directly under the supervision of the department manager and focus on delivering transportation projects for wide variety of clients including INDOT and other Local Agencies. Ideal candidates will demonstrate expertise with public works infrastructure projects and proven client relationships.\nThe Bridge Project Manager will provide engineering design and oversight in the successful delivery of transportation and public works projects throughout Indiana as well as leading and mentoring project teams in design and plan preparation for bridge projects for INDOT and other state and local agencies. The Project Manager may also support projects in other states. A working knowledge of Microstation is anticipated to effectively perform the tasks noted above.\nWhat You’ll Do:\nManaging a wide variety of complex bridge related projects\nHaving a broad understanding of structural design, including inter-discipline knowledge to guide and communicate on large-scale projects\nLeading plan production for conventional design-bid-build and/or design-build bridge projects\nManaging project schedules, budgets, invoicing, scope, and client expectations\nDirecting, coordinating, and reviewing work performed by internal staff and subconsultant design teams\nMentoring, training and growing staff in the performance of job duties\nWorking with a team of engineers and planners to develop strategies and teaming arrangements to pursue projects\nAssisting in developing pursuit capture plans and short list presentations\nGrowing existing client relationships and developing new ones\nWhat You Need to Succeed\nBachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Engineering Management, or related field (Master's preferred)\nPE license required (Indiana PE or ability to obtain within 6 months; additional state PE/SE licenses a plus)\n10+ years of bridge design experience with increasing project leadership responsibilities\nStrong knowledge of AASHTO LRFD, AISC, ACI, and INDOT standards\nExperience designing concrete and steel bridges, including staged construction analysis\nProficiency with bridge analysis/load rating software such as BrR, MIDAS, or LARSA\nExperience managing multi-discipline transportation projects and leading technical teams\nProven project management, financial oversight, quality control, and staff mentoring skills\nStrong client relationship management and business development experience preferred\nFamiliarity with alternative delivery methods and delivering projects for INDOT and local agencies preferred\nCompensation\nThe approximate compensation range for this position is $120,000 to $194,000. This compensation range is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting.
