This growing group of Construction Managers (CM's), Resident Engineers, and Inspectors are focused on providing construction services to clients across the nation. We are looking for a railway-focused leader who will collaborate with our CM's focused on serving our clients to provide high quality construction services.\nRESPONSIBILITIES\nMaintain ultimate responsibility for delivery of project quality, cost, schedule, and safety:Develop, maintain, distribute, and update project-specific Project Management Plan, including Health & Safety Plans and Quality Management Plans\nConduct safety meetings and training programs to ensure safety requirements are met for each assigned project\nCoordinate audits of quality management processes and procedures on the projects\nSustain continuous improvement for all project processes\n\nProvide inspection, field engineering, technical advisement for issues related to civil, tunnel, track, and bridge construction activities, as-needed.\nReview project proposal and scope of work to determine schedule, funding limitations, procedures for accomplishing project completion, assisting in contract negotiations, as required.\nCoordinate project with activities of government regulatory or other government agencies.\nDirect and coordinate activities of project personnel to ensure progress remains on schedule and within prescribed budget.\nPrepare project reports for management, clients, or others.\nConfer with project personnel to provide technical advice and resolve problems. \nOversee and mentor junior staff.\nAttend job, CM/Design coordination meetings, and most technical meetings as required. \nCoordinate with design review on RFIs and other issues.\nCoordinate and lead project progress meetings and document meeting minutes.\nOversee coordination of staging, and shutdown/start-up operations to ensure uninterrupted rail, yard or facility operations. \nPossess proven Client Management Skills including:Develop and maintain client relations to ensure satisfaction\nInterface with Key stakeholders and community public outreach programs, as needed\n\nOccasional travel may be required.\nOther duties as assigned.\nPROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS\nTwo-year degree required\n10+ years experience in related construction oversight required \nProfessional Engineer (P.E.) license a plus \nCertified Construction Manager (CCM) a plus\nFamiliarity with working in and around active rail facilities preferred\nAbility to obtain Track safety certification and railroad background check \nProven experience working for freight and/or passenger rail clients desired\nDemonstrated proficiency in project safety, scheduling (CPM scheduling, Primavera, Microsoft Project), staffing, cost estimating, risk management, quality management, and project/document controls\nAbility to manage various levels and numbers of staff\nAptitude for communicating with owner/client staff, contractors, and subconsultants (Excellent English language skills, written and verbal, are essential)\nCommitment to and confirmed track record of safely delivering projects on time, on budget, and of the utmost quality\nDedication to project goals, client satisfaction, corporate aspirations, business development, growth objectives, staff development, and operational excellence\nCoordinate project with activities of government regulatory or other government agencies.\nCOMPENSATION\nThe approximate compensation range for this position is $110,000 - $160,000 per year. This compensation range is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting.
