This is an exciting opportunity to work on impactful projects ranging from local streets and Complete Streets corridors to major highways and interchanges across Wisconsin.\nAs part of our collaborative team, you'll contribute to complex transportation solutions while working alongside industry-leading engineers and project managers. Whether you're looking to deepen your technical expertise, lead project tasks, or expand your client-facing experience, we'll provide the support and opportunities to help you grow your career.\nWhat You’ll Do:\nDesign and develop roadway alignments, corridor models, and transportation infrastructure improvements\nCreate roadway models using Civil 3D, OpenRoads, Geopak, MicroStation, or related software\nPrepare roadway plans, specifications, and construction cost estimates\nCoordinate with multidisciplinary project teams to deliver innovative transportation solutions\nLead design tasks and contribute to project delivery efforts\nCollaborate with clients and attend project meetings\nTake on increasing levels of responsibility and leadership based on your career goals\nWhat You Need to Succeed:\nBachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related field\nProfessional Engineer (P.E.) license in Wisconsin, or ability to obtain within four months of hire\n5-8 years of roadway engineering and design experience\nExperience with WisDOT projects and transportation infrastructure design\nProficiency in Civil 3D, MicroStation, OpenRoads, Geopak, AutoCAD, or similar roadway design software\nWorking knowledge of WisDOT standards and local municipality requirements\nStrong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills\nExcellent verbal and written communication abilities\nAbility to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team environment\nRelationships with WisDOT, particularly within the Southwest Region, are a plus\nExperience serving as a task lead and mentoring junior staff is preferred\nInterest in growing into larger project leadership and client-facing responsibilities\nFamiliarity with Complete Streets and multimodal transportation design principles is beneficial\nCompensation\nThe approximate compensation range for this position is $89,043 to $128,557. This compensation range is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting.
