The programme is entering a critical phase of expansion and thus looking for additional committed team members.\nSalary: £45,000 - £55,000 depending on experience\nDynamic (hybrid) working: 3 to 5 days per week on-site due to workload classification\nSecurity Clearance: British Citizen or a Dual UK national with British citizenship\nRestrictions and/or limitations relating to nationality and/or rights to work may apply. They will analyse, interpret and evaluate technical information, concepts and ideas.\nThis specific role reports into the Ground Trials Team Lead and is primarily expected to contribute (applying existing knowledge, or input from senior team members, of underlying Ordnance Munitions and Explosives principles) to the development and implementation of long-term system safety proving plans and test activities. The role involves working with various teams across MBDA and with UK, French and Italian national authorities.\nJoining the Ground Trials team includes additional opportunities to develop in and contribute towards other exciting test activities such as Electromagnetic Compatibility, Mechanical & Climatic or Engine test.\nThis role would suit an engineer with practical experience looking to build on existing (or to develop new) skills on an important and significant future project with wide exposure to a variety of technical disciplines and teams.\nWhat we're looking for from you:\nEssential skills:\nAbility to work autonomously or as part of a wider specialist team\n\nTaking responsibility for the quality of work undertaken (deliver value to the team)\n\nProactive in finding solutions to problems (identifying improvements and proposing innovative ideas)\n\nAbility to report/communicate technical aspects to both technical and non-technical audiences.\n\nUseful (but not essential) experience:\nOrdnance Munitions and Explosives trials and test (areas may include: mechanical/climatic, EMC, insensitive munitions, chemical analysis).\n\nKnowledge and use of military safety regulations, policies and standards (particularly those relating to Safety and Suitability for Service).\n\nKnowledge of safety assessment processes and risk management approaches.\n\nPractical knowledge (mechanical, electrical or software) and/or in a trials/test environment (e.g. use of test equipment, process and procedures)\n\nProject management processes (and how to incorporate into the work environment with a wide range of stakeholders)\n\nOur company: Peace is not a given, Freedom is not a given, Sovereignty is not a given\nMBDA is a leading defence organisation.
