As a minimum and after offer stage, all successful candidates will need to undergo HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard checks (BPSS), which are managed by the MBDA Personnel Security Team. Developing requirements with stakeholders, problem solving, resolving mechanical issues and conducting the verification and certification needed in supporting the acceptance and maintenance of our products.\nThe team you’ll be joining are dynamic and friendly located across both Stevenage and Bolton facilities, collaborating on an exciting and high-profile programme.\nMain responsibilities dependant on role will be:\nProject Focus:\nDevelopment and Obsolescence\nWork within a multi-discipline engineering team (e.g. Mechanical, Systems, electrical, software etc…)\nCapture transversal engineering stakeholder needs (e.g. Safety, Cyber, Human Factors, Customer Support Services, etc)\nUnderstand and contribute to the key activities in the engineering development lifecycle such as design reviews (PDR/DDR/CDR)\nManage schedule, cost, quality and performance metrics for assigned work packages\nDevelop and understand interface specifications\nLimit technical risks through application of mitigation strategies\nSpecification, organisation and supply of hardware and equipment to support proving and test activities\nHardware Co-ordination\nStores transactions for urgent hardware/spares requirements.\nSupport to builds - With Integration Missile Validation, manufacturing & design\nShipping - import & export of hardware.\nISS\nWork with customers / suppliers to overcome technical challenges\nProcess improvement across project process and internal communications\nManage and contribute to technical documentation generation / management\nWhat we're looking for from you:\nDegree qualified in Mechanical/Aerospace engineering or with equivalent experience.\nSignificant relevant working experience ideally across some, or all of the following areas: Mechanical Design, Stress/Thermal analysis, Mechanical and Climatic Environments, Product Certification.\nProactively engages stakeholders and builds relationships that will further the project\nRun technical work packages alongside experienced project managers, to demonstrate progress and balance technical risks.\nAwareness of PLM for Design Definition and Configuration Management\nDemonstrable experience of product/task package delivery in challenging environments\nStrong Task Prioritisation and Communication skills\nExperience of delivering product support both in person and remotely\nExperience of leading/ contributing to product development and improvement\nKnowledge associated with the design and build of hardware\nExperience of Non-Conformance Management\nAwareness of P6 as a Planning tool\nEffective and concise reporting skills for clear communication of complex issues\nOur company: Peace is not a given, Freedom is not a given, Sovereignty is not a given\nMBDA is a leading defence organisation.
