Typically for this role, due to the nature of the work, you will need to work a minimum of 3 days per week on-site.\nSecurity Clearance: MBDA UK requires all employees to achieve the required medical and national security clearance for their role. Our EW Group supports activities on all relevant WS and missile programmes, with specific responsibilities for the physical integration and functional operation of RF Electronic Support / Attack payloads as part of the wider EW effects chain at Missile, Weapon System and System of Systems levels. This requires a range of skills including; systems engineering, supplier management, in-service support (particularly focussed on EW mission support), and EW technical expertise.\nCurrently we are looking for Systems Design Engineers, Equipment Requirement Authorities (engineers responsible for managing the specification, procurement, delivery and integration of hardware into missiles), in-service support / EW mission support Engineers, and Technical Experts (particularly focussed on EW).\nWhat we’re looking for from you: \nSomeone who can demonstrate several of the qualities below:\nKnowledge and experience of RF Electronic Support and Attack Systems, including platform integration and through-life support.\n\nStrong technical understanding of RF and electronic systems.\n\nKnowledge and experience of algorithm design, and the implementation of those algorithms.\n\nKnowledge and understanding of Integrated Air Defence Systems.\n\nExperience in supplier management (typically undertaken with the support of a Procurement Lead).\n\nSystems design engineering skills including: requirements elicitation, decomposition and management; system design, integration and test; system verification and validation; etc..\n\nProficient in SysML, DOORS and / or Rhapsody.\n\nExperience in development and use of RF performance models.\n\nExperience of overseeing the transition of development hardware into production, including environmental testing, qualification testing and design certification.\n\nExperience working with Dstl, ASWC and / or DI.\n\nCandidates must hold, or be willing to apply for, DV clearance.\n\nWhat’s in it for you?\nThe successful candidate will be joining an exciting, expanding, and rapidly evolving area within MBDA, with the opportunity to work on new and innovative products.\n\nThe successful candidate will be supported in their professional development, and will increase their knowledge and understanding of EW Systems.\n\nJoin an open, friendly, and supportive group of EW engineering practitioners.\n\nWork on cutting edge Weapon System programmes.\n\nOpportunities for travel within the UK and Europe in support of programmes.\n\nOur company: Peace is not a given, Freedom is not a given, Sovereignty is not a given\nMBDA is a leading defence organisation.
