We work closely with other teams and partners to integrate their models into ours, and running them through numerous test suites to ensure they are suitable for use in further development.\nYou’ll be working alongside a team of well-developed engineers, where you will:\n· Develop and validate high-fidelity models using MATLAB and Simulink.\n· Partner with systems teams and other departments to help bring complex simulations to life and ensure all flaws in a design are found well before they reach the real world.\n· Use real-life data to tune and refine models to better match the real world.\n· Grow under the mentorship of senior engineers, to expand your technical capabilities to prepare you for larger, more challenging projects and long-term career advancement.\nWhat we're looking for:\nWe are ideally looking for a candidate with a curious mind and an established set of strong engineering skills. You would be an ideal fit if:\n· You have several years of working with (or understanding of) dynamic systems and/or mathematical modelling.\n· You have had good experience with modelling languages or programs before.\n· You have experience with the concepts of version control tools such as EWM or Git.\n· You have great communication skills and are comfortable with discussing complex technical ideas to different stakeholders, as well as presenting reports to large groups of interested parties.\n· You are comfortable working in a larger team, both collaboratively and occasionally leading smaller-scale task projects.\nDesirable additional skills:\n· Exposure to MATLAB or Simulink.\n· Familiarity with writing and analysing tests for simulations.\n· Familiarity with software lifecycles.\n· Positive attitude towards learning and developing new skills.\n· Enthusiasm with working collaboratively with peers, more experienced engineers, and engineers at the start of their career.\nOur company: Peace is not a given, Freedom is not a given, Sovereignty is not a given\nMBDA is a leading defence organisation.
