If you have education and experience in engineering or construction management with demonstrated increasing responsibility, we want to hear from you.\nWhat You'll Do:\nAs a Construction Engineer II, you will take on a lead role in planning and managing small to mid-size projects and may lead a sub-group on larger projects. You will collaborate closely with Project Managers, build positive and productive working relationships with clients, peers, and team members, and contribute to strategic project decisions across a range of sectors including federal, laboratory facilities, data centers, state, municipal, K-12 school, higher education, and healthcare projects.\nResponsibilities\nResponsibilities include:\nProvide on-site representation and coordinate project documentation\nPerform cost estimating, scheduling, and quality control/quality assurance inspection\nCoordinate design management and review activities\nMaintain electronic project files\nAssist with the scheduling and management of design and construction meetings\nReview and distribute project deliverables\nEngage in training and professional development\nParticipate in marketing activities and involvement with professional associations\nActively participate in company initiatives\nAnalyze and optimize internal and external processes\nOther duties as assigned\nQualifications\nWho We Are Looking For\nExperience:\nExperience in design or construction work activities, with demonstrated increasing responsibility, of the same or similar type sought for this position\nExperience may be in the following sectors: federal, laboratory facilities, data centers, state, municipal, K-12 school, higher education, or healthcare projects\nEducation/Knowledge:\nBachelor's Degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or related field\nEngineering principles, principles of construction management and project controls, with specialized knowledge of one or more areas including scheduling, cost estimating, documentation, contract administration, or construction techniques\nThorough understanding of several of MBP's services\nStrong understanding of building codes, laws, and regulations that might affect assigned projects\nPreferred Certifications:\nFE/EIT certification\nCMIT certification\nWorking toward other certifications such as PE, CCM, CCE, or PSP is preferred\nMust possess OSHA 10-hour or OSHA 30-hour certification or obtain within 3 months of hire\nSkills and Abilities:\nWrite clear, concise, and accurate reports\nCoordinate with clients\nCarry out assignments from conception to completion\nWork within budgets and meet deadlines\nIdentify potential problems and derive recommended solutions from past experiences\nSkilled in more than one of the following services: pre-construction, constructability and design review, critical path method schedules, cost estimating, project budgeting, financial analysis, delay analysis, construction quality assurance, automated control systems, quantity take-offs, and closeouts\nMeticulous attention to detail\nUtilize computers (including Microsoft Office software, BlueBeam, and PMIS) and other specialized equipment\nUnderstand and track project schedules\nCommunicate issues effectively and responsibly (verbally and in writing) with internal and external customers (i.e., contractors, owners, subconsultants, and fellow Team Members)\nObtain and maintain industry certifications specific to duties assigned\nWork collaboratively within a team\nLift/carry 50 pounds (occasionally) and 20 pounds (frequently)\nStand and sit as needed on project work sites, climb ladders, work at heights, and work outdoors in a wide range of weather conditions\nSafely navigate construction work sites with uneven terrain\nGuidance/Responsibility:\nProject management responsibility in close liaison with the Project Manager on small to mid-size projects\nLead role in planning and managing small to mid-size projects and/or leading a sub-group on a large project\nWhat We Offer\nWe're focused on providing the tools and support you need to succeed, both personally and professionally.
