conducting. investigations, analyzing data, and identifying and recommending corrective action.\nMust maintain confidentiality and safeguarding of sensitive material.\nConducting oral presentations, relaying technical information in understandable terms.\nDemonstrated ability to work effectively in a diverse workforce.\nSkills:\nPossess a working knowledge of adult education principles and practices.\nPossess the skills necessary to write and express oneself orally in a logical, comprehensive, and intelligent manner, as well as good organizational skills.\nPossess the temperament necessary for maintaining amiable relations with various levels of company personnel.\nPossess a working knowledge of Microsoft Access, Excel, and Word.\nAbility to interpret and explain regulations to others.\nMust have excellent communication skills (written and oral).\nExcellent time management skills with ability to prioritize.\nWorks well with other department managers.\nKey Accountabilities:\nAdministers and directs the Keolis Operator Education Program, Trainer Certification Program, Monthly Safety Initiative, and OSHA required training to all department employees.\nConducts driver’s licensing safety instruction.\nProvides training assistance to the Maintenance Department, Human Resources and other departments as needed.\nDirects Behind the Wheel (BTW), retraining, refresher, and post-accident training processes.\nCoordinate classroom, BTW, line and revenue instruction/scheduling for new hire classes.\nEvaluate training effectiveness through appropriate student evaluation and post training effectiveness evaluations making modifications to the program design to increase program efficiency.\nManage large-scale training projects as assigned.\nAssure the training programs are maintained current and incorporated with up-to-date information gained from Keolis, federal and state authorities and agencies.\nPrepare trainee examinations and conduct trainee evaluations for classroom, line, and revenue phases of training.\nAs appropriate, conduct counseling sessions for trainees, evaluate the results, and recommend/develop individualized training programs.\nSupport management in the areas of business initiatives, project management, community involvement and special projects.\nParticipate in Keolis management audits and prepare responses to audit findings concerning training functions.\nMaintain knowledge of industry operations, skills, and techniques commensurate with the responsibility to develop and conduct effective, high-quality training.\nSupervise the collection and maintenance of auditable training records and report required to document training program activities.\nConduct self in an appropriate manner as a representative of Keolis, working effectively in a diverse work environment.\nManage, plan, organize and schedule work assignments for trainers.\nWorks closely with Directors and Managers to determine, develop, and implement training programs to improve daily operations.\nAdminister CDL and other certification/recertification programs as established by contract, state, and corporate mandates. Monitor employee training status for compliance with these programs.\nAssist Maintenance, Operations, Human Resources departments in the development, training, assessment of personnel.\nAssess training needs related to new equipment and new technology. Develop and implement programs to satisfy these needs.\nSupervise staff (as assigned) including interviewing and hiring, training, work assignment, and performance management.\nOversee the CDL training for maintenance personnel. Oversee new hire (general) OSHA required safety orientation for all maintenance personnel.\nDesign training aids, prepare technical materials, tests, handouts, and lesson plans for training classes.\nCreate and maintain training records for all employees.\nMaintain a complete training reference library for the Safety and Training Department.\nAssess employee's skill levels, counsel, recommend and coordinate appropriate training with employee and respective supervisors/managers.\nPerform all other duties as assigned.\nPhysical Demands and Work Environment:\nThe physical demands and work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee may encounter while performing the essential functions of the job.
