As a Security Engineer in Technology & Digital, you'll help build the platforms and tools that power secure, seamless banking, helping customers and colleagues go further.\nWe are on the lookout for:\nJob vacancies: Security Engineer\nAs a Security Engineer, you will play a critical role in safeguarding the organization's IT infrastructure against cyber threats.\nIn this role you will,\nCollaborate with internal technology and systems teams, network teams, and other stakeholders to support cybersecurity initiatives as required;\nDesign, implement, manage and support security solutions and technologies, including cloud-based platforms and SIEM systems;\nDevelop standards operating procedures, and guidelines aligned with industry frameworks;\nDocument all key processes, lessons learned, and find possible efficiency gains in processes;\nAssist incident response, including detecting, analyzing, and mitigating security incidents;\nKeep up to date with the latest cybersecurity threats, AI/ML-driven security tools, industry trends, and best practices;\nProvide technical expertise and support for Security solutions, including integrations and scanning of the software, hardware, network/firewall and cloud-based solutions;\nAssist risk assessments and conduct vulnerability scans to identify and prioritize security risks;\nTechnical assessments of systems and applications to ensure compliance with policy, standards, and regulations such as GDPR and PCI.\n\nTo succeed, you will be required to demonstrate the following competencies:\nAssesses complex issues from multiple angles in order to get the complete picture;\nEmbraces ambiguity and change, helping the workgroup adapt and remain productive;\nAnticipates how advancing technologies will create new competition and considers how to respond;\nDemonstrates composure and professionalism under difficult circumstances;\nHolds self accountable for complying with policies, procedures, and work requirements;\nLearns quickly when facing new situations;\nBegins to build relationships across a variety of functions and areas;\nCreates flexibility in the organization that is needed to respond to varied stakeholder needs.\n\nWe are looking for candidates who have a minimum of:\nA Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity or any IT related field;\n3 years’ working experience in a similar position or in an IT related field;\nTechnical Cybersecurity Certification through one of the recognized bodies, with preference for CISSP, CEH, CompTIA Security+, or SANS GIAC; or vendor specific certifications.\nOR\nAn advanced Diploma in Cybersecurity or any IT related field;\n4 years’ working experience in a similar position or in an IT related field;\n\nA combination of education, certification or experience will also be considered.\nYou will be required to demonstrate:\nHands-on experience with security tools like Firewall, IPS, SIEM (e.g., Splunk, QRadar), NextGen AV (e.g., CrowdStrike, SentinelOne), EDR, and penetration testing tools (e.g., Nessus, Burp Suite);\nIn-depth understanding of common network protocols, operating systems, and application architectures;\nStrong analytical skills with the ability to analyze and interpret security assessment reports;\nExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams;\nAbility to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment;\nKnowledge of security frameworks and standards such as NIST Cybersecurity Framework, ISO 27001, and PCI DSS;\nExperience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) for automation and customization of vulnerability management processes is a plus;\nStrong skills with VMware, Microsoft, Linux and Networking preferred;\nFamiliarity with cloud security (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and DevSecOps practices is a plus;\nData Center experience is strongly preferred but not required.\nShould this opportunity match your career aspirations, skills and competencies, click on ‘Apply’ to complete your online application.\nPlease ensure all required information is accurately entered in relevant sections.
