The ideal candidate will have experience with public cloud platforms, infrastructure automation, security best practice and DevOps methodologies. Working closely with IT Operations and Security teams, you will help build scalable, secure and reliable cloud environments that support business applications.\nThe reliance on system availability, that performs to an excellent level is vital to daily business operations that run on a 24x7x365 basis.\nKey Responsibilities:\nDesign, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure platforms in Microsoft Azure.\nBuild and maintain highly available, scalable, and secure cloud environments, using Secure by Design principles.\nAutomate infrastructure provisioning using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Azure Resource Manager.\nLanding Zone and Subscription management.\nMonitor cloud resources, troubleshoot performance issues, and optimize system reliability.\nConfigure and maintain cloud networking, storage, compute, firewalls and identity management services.\nImplement security controls, access management, encryption, and compliance standards.\nManage and improve Azure Secure Score by implementing security recommendations, reducing risk, and ensuring compliance with Microsoft security best practice.\nCollaborate with system administrators to support application deployment and operations.\nPerform backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning.\nMonitor cloud spending and recommend cost optimization strategies.\nDocument cloud architecture, operational procedures, and technical standards.\nStay current with emerging cloud technologies and industry best practices.\nKey Result Areas:\nMaintain 99.7% systems availability (excluding planned downtime)\nAspire to achieve 90% Customer Service SLAs on response and fix time calls to the Service Desk.\nWhere applicable, manage expenditure in line with overhead and project budgets.\nUse of the GIS Project Management Methodology for Project Delivery.\nUse of stringent change management procedures to ensure a high level of control is in place for IT system changes.\nRelevant and Quantifiable Measures:\nBachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).\n3+ years of experience in cloud engineering, systems administration, or DevOps.\nHands-on experience with Microsoft Azure\nBehavioural Competencies / Personal Characteristics:\nCustomer service mentality\nStrong analytical, problem solving and technical skills\nMust be able to work in a Team environment or autonomously\nMust be willing to travel to other sites across the McBride Group (includes international travel)\nGood communication skills, verbal and written\nMust be flexible to be able to meet the challenges and opportunities of working within a 24x7, multi-site, multi-cultural organisation.\nResilient and able to work under pressure to tight deadlines\nBroad understanding of current external trends.\nTechnical Competencies & Qualifications:\nCloud Platforms: Azure, AWS, GCP\nVirtual Firewalls: Fortinet\nScripting: Python, Bash, PowerShell\nMonitoring: Azure Monitor / Secure Score\nOperating Systems: Strong understanding of Linux and Windows server administration\nNetworking: DNS, VPN, load balancing and VPC/VNet configuration.\nStrong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills\nExcellent communication and collaboration abilities\nPrivacy Statement: We will use the personal information that you have submitted to us in order to consider your application for the relevant role.
