Working on a 4 on 4 off shift pattern to provide a 24/7 reactive and proactive engineering service to Middleton production site. Ensuring all assets perform to maximum production speeds with minimum interruptions and breakdowns.\nHaving a natural desire for continuous improvement and ability to get to the root cause of failures. Applying corrective measures required to ensure all McBride assets are maintained and repaired to a high standard.\nEnsuring all equipment is fit for purpose as required and maintained to high safety standards. Working in a safe manner and inline with all Health & Safety procedures and McBride Health & Safety Policies and Procedures.\nKey Responsibilities:\nWork proactively within a team and independently to carry out:\nIssue and work with Permit to Work systems, Isolation Procedures and McBride Risk Assessments and Policies.\nPlay an active part in Safety Walks and identifying improvements and producing/updating Risk Assessments.\nCompletion of Planned Reliability Maintenance Inspections and Tasks to a high standard\nReactive maintenance and fault finding. Using practical problem solving skills to provide a timely fix. Ensuring production losses are minimal and workaround solutions are provided when required.\nEngage in Lean Maintenance Improvement Initiatives using CI and Lean techniques. Play an active role in CI projects taking the lead where appropriate.\nUse CMMS system to plan work. Including booking & requisitioning of spare parts, accurately recording completed work, follow up work, along with the results and findings of reliability maintenance tasks;\nEnsure communication is clear and consistent to all team members, management and across shifts - including all external customers such as Production, Quality and H&S,\nCollaborate with all site personnel to ensure site minimal disruption to production output.\nTo assist with training new and existing staff members on specialist skills and experience to effectively benefit the team’s growth.\nWorking alongside third party contractors on R&M and the implementation of new assets to site, including commissioning.\nProduce technical documentation and reports. Including SOPs and Risk Assessments.\nSupport TPM autonomous maintenance and improve ways of working within the internal and external team\nHave responsibility within the Emergency Evacuation plan to carry out the Engineering Investigation Team Role.\nWork a fully flexible rota which will include overtime and flexible working requirements\nKey Result Areas:\n(The key end results by which achievement will be measured)\nOEE improvements and reduction in downtime Labour utilisation Pro-active v Reactive Maintenance PPM completion CI improvements Changeover time and start ups Near Miss Raise and Close % Corrective action completion Audit compliance for workshops and Ways of Working Compliance to H&S audits and Safe Systems of Work\nRelevant and Quantifiable Measures:\n(Relevant facts/figures relating to the job including number of direct reports, budgets)\n0 direct report but essential to be a team player.\nBehavioural Competencies / Personal Characteristics:\n(Experience and skills needed to do the job)\nAble to handling complexity and a high pressure work environment.\nAble to work autonomously whilst effectively prioritising and adapting to variable workload.\nGood Communicator.
