You ensure compliance with Belgian accounting standards and the Group’s reporting requirements.\nYou work closely with internal teams, auditors and external partners to guarantee the quality and accuracy of financial data.\nYour responsabilities\nAccounting closures and reporting\nPrepare and submit the trial balance in Hyperion by the specified deadlines.\nEnsure the accuracy of the profit and loss account, balance shieet and cash flow statement.\nMonitor and report on intercompany transactions.\nManage movements relating to reserves, fixed assets and assets held under right of use.\nGeneral Accounting\nManage and reconcile tangible fixed assets and assets held under right of use.\nRecord and monitor provisions and accrued expenses.\nEnsure the quality, consistency and reliability of financial data.\nAnalyse and justify the various balance sheet accounts.\nAnnual accounts and audit\nPrepare and file the annual accounts in accordance with legal requirements.\nCoordinate external audits relating to the statutory accounts.\nAct as the main point of contact for the external auditors for the Belgian entity.\nRespond to requests from internal and external auditors within the specified timeframes.\nOrganise Board of Directors’ meetings and ensure that the necessary signatures are obtained.\nTaxation\nPrepare and submit VAT and Intrastat returns.\nPrepare the tax pack for the Group.\nHandle local tax returns.\nAssist with tax inspections and audits.\nCollaborate with the Group’s Indirect Tax Manager and with external advisers where necessary.\nRequired profile\nQualifications and experience\nA qualified accountant with proven experience in a similar role.\nSolid knowledge of general accounting in Belgium and the preparation of financial statements.\nGood understanding of VAT, corporation tax and Intrastat obligations.\nExcellent command of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.\nYou are a Dutch speaker with a good knowledge of English and French.\n\nYour strenghts\nRigorous and precise when handling financial data.\nExcellent analytical and problem-solving skills.\nOrganisational skills, autonomy and a sense of responsibility.\nAbility to work effectively with a variety of stakeholders.\nAdherence to deadlines and effective prioritisation.\nA commitment to continuous improvement and a results-oriented approach.\nReliability, discretion and professional integrity.\nWhat we offer\nAn international, dynamic and constantly evolving working environment.\nA competitive salary package commensurate with your experience.\nAttractive benefits.\nA varied role with a high degree of autonomy.\nFlexible working arrangements.\nA secure job within an international group.\nEasily accessible offices.\nPrivacy Statement: We will use the personal information that you have submitted to us in order to consider your application for the relevant role.
