MRD operates in commercial quarries, surface mines, timberlands and construction sites throughout the Western US.\nMRD is seeking a full-time Blast Technicianthat will be based in Boise, Idaho. The main responsibility of a Blast Technician consists of boretraking and flying a drone to develop 3D models, that will be used for drilling and blasting purposes. Using GPS equipment, The Blast Technician will conduct surveys to determine rock elevation. The Blast Technician will train with a senior Blast Technician and will learn how to survey existing ground/bench elevations, establish drill patterns, calculate cut depths, bench heights, and floor elevations. Blast Technicians will also be utilized for quality control, to help resolve production or layout problems that could arise.\nOur ideal candidate will have a clean driving record, can successfully pass a pre-employment drug test, zero criminal background, and willing to travel.
