This position collaborates across the P2P organization and with campus stakeholders.The successful candidate will have strong procurement experience and ability to navigate public request for proposal (RFP) and bid processes. This position is responsible to ensure the RFP and bid processes are handled correctly. We are seeking a diligent procurement professional with strong attention to detail.\nThis position is open until filled and may close at any time.\nESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONS:\nProcesses procurement requests, including review of purchases and contract requisitions for competitive requirements, ensuring appropriate procurement policy is followed, and non-competitive purchases are auditable/appropriate.\nNavigates full bidding cycle, working with college departments in the development of scope of work, evaluation criteria, and methodical creation of bids.\nResolves procurement administration problems that arise involving invoicing, delivery, rejecting material, interpretation of terms and conditions, changes in requirements, termination, disputes, etc. \nAnalyzes bid submissions for financial costs/revenue and facilitate recommendation of award in the best interest of the college.\nReviews and negotiates favorable contract terms in a timely manner. \nEngages with stakeholders to confirm progress and/or completion, troubleshoot issues or concerns as they arise.\nFosters effective relationships with suppliers to ensure compliance with contracts. \nRepresents departments in communicating with suppliers. \nDrives strategic initiatives to align with the organizational objectives to enhance value, improve service/quality, reduce costs and minimize risk. \nAnalyzes savings, revenue opportunities, service and efficiencies; utilize data to prioritize initiatives.\nContinually seek process improvement - researching and evaluating current marketplace trends, procurement methodology, and best practice to increase efficiency and improve performance of procurement functions. \nTroubleshoots complex procurement situations with minimal guidance.\nEstablishes strong and positive working relationships with members of the campus community, college leadership, and suppliers to jointly investigate ways to improve efficiency/effectiveness and to pre-plan future procurement needs.\nCollaborates among the P2P team and the procurement teams of peer institutions.\nAttends work activities or programs as scheduled or assigned.\nWORK ENVIRONMENT:\nMonday - Friday, 8-5pm\nThis is an onsite position located at the Fort Omaha Campus\nKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:\nKnowledge of relevant procurement policy pertaining to purchasing, the rules and regulations\nProficient computer skills with the ability to learn new software.\nProficient with Microsoft Office Suite and other college supported systems.\nExcellent communication skills including active listening.\nExcellent organizational skills and competence in the application of critical thinking skills.\nAbility to work well with minimal supervision in a team-orientated environment.\nAbility to understand when a situation requires elevation to an upper-level position. \nAbility to demonstrate cooperation and professionalism in stressful situations.\nAbility to effectively work and interact with various cultures and ethnicities.\nMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS FOR EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:\nBachelor's degree in related field. \nThree (3) years of procurement experience.\nPurchasing experience in higher education or public sector preferred. \nExperience with Workday ERP system a plus.\nEquivalent combination of education and/or work experience considered.\nAbility to travel between campuses for meetings or position responsibilities.\nMust pass a background check.\nThe specific statements shown in each section of this description are not intended to be all inclusive.
