If this is you, consider joining our team and apply today!\nThis announcement is live through October 15, 2026 at 11:59pm and will no longer be listed as of October 16, 2026.\nESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONS:\nGreets and assists students and visitors in the Student Welcome Center.\nActively assess students’ needs navigating them to personalized direct points of service.\nAnswers telephones, transfer calls appropriately, and sets appointments.\nListen and respond to student issues to find solutions by problem-solving and/or referring to other college departments as needed.\nStays abreast of multiple sources of detailed information and schedules of activities in the building including tours, workshops, classes and orientation sessions and assist with organization of on-site activities.\nAssists students with orienting to college resources and tools, such as MyWay Portal.\nAssists students with registration and/or student planning.\nMaintains forms and daily mail service for all departments on campus/center.\nPerforms cashier functions and duties, including receiving and posting payments and deposits.\nEnsures proper security when opening and closing Center and/or Student Welcome Center office.\nConsistently and dependably attends work, activities, and functions as scheduled or assigned.\nWORK ENVIRONMENT:\nMonday - Friday 8-5, with one day scheduled 10 - 7, and occasional Saturdays.\nOn-premise position at Fort Omaha Campus\nKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:\nKnowledge of college-wide functions, particularly student affairs, financial aid, academic affairs, Knowledge academic records, enrollment services, etc.\nKnowledge of CRM systems.\nSkill in operating computer software.\nKnowledge and compliance with FERPA laws.\nPossess high level of customer service skills, while maintaining a positive and professional attitude.\nEffectively communicate with various internal and external stakeholders.\nStrong planning and organizational skills.\nAbility to manage multiple tasks and pay close attention to detail.\nAbility to work independently and/or as part of a team.\nAbility to professionally manage and maintain confidential information.\nAbility to effectively work and interact with various cultures and ethnicities.\nAbility to utilize mathematical and money-handling skills.\nAbility to effectively communicate verbally and/or writing.\nAbility to occasionally extent exert up to 20 pounds of force to lift, push, carry, pull or otherwise move objects.\nAbility to perform sedentary work, sitting and standing for extended periods of time.\nMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS FOR EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:\nAssociate degree\nTwo (2) years of direct customer service experience working in a fast-paced, public service environment.\nExperience in an Educational setting preferred.\nProficiency in English; multilingual preferred.\nEquivalent combination of education and/or experience will be considered.\nAbility to travel between campuses for meetings or position responsibilities.\nMust pass background check.\nThe specific statements shown in each section of this description are not intended to be all inclusive.
