Reporting to the Senior Analytical Technologist, you will conduct routine analytical testing and instrument maintenance while maintaining a safe laboratory working environment. In addition, you will also contribute to method development including experimental design, method drafting, and data analysis under the guidance of senior staff. As a key member of the R&D team, your contributions will extend cross-functionally to QA, Operations, Agronomy, Supply Chain, and NPD teams to drive product integrity, innovation, and continuous improvement.\nKey Responsibilities\nPerform chemical and physical testing on fresh herbs and spices, raw materials, finished goods, and agronomy research samples.\n\nConduct product development testing, including moisture, texture, viscometry, and wet chemistry, to support NPD projects.\n\nProvide analytical support to cross-functional teams including Supply Chain, Quality, Agronomy, and Manufacturing.\n\nReport analytical data, including raising non-conformances and providing technical advice.\n\nIdentify and suggest improvements to laboratory methodologies, equipment, workflows, and capability.\n\nContribute to day-to-day laboratory operations, including calibration, reagent preparation, preventative maintenance, cleanliness, and general laboratory resource management.\n\nOur Ideal Candidate\nBrings a proactive, safety-focused and proactive mindset.\n\nIs passionate about analytical chemistry with a strong desire for personal development.\n\nEnjoys collaborating across departments and supporting a high-performing R&D environment.\n\nDemonstrates strong organisational skills and meticulous attention to detail.\n\nCommunicates with clarity, confidence, and professionalism.\n\nPossesses previous experience in an analytical chemistry laboratory.\n\nDemonstrates familiarity with GC-MS, HPLC-UV/Vis-FLD, and automated titrator operation and maintenance (advantageous).\n\nHas previous experience supporting development of analytical chemistry methodologies (advantageous).\n\nHow to Apply\nIf you’re ready to contribute to McCormick’s commitment to quality, innovation, and product excellence, we’d love to hear from you.
