Are you up for the challenge?\nPay Range: $20- $22\nPLEASE NOTE : Candidates who require visa sponsorship for employment now or in the future will not be considered for this position.\nJOB TITLE: Flavor Solution, Beverage Lab Intern\nDEPARTMENT: Flavor Application and Creation\nLOCATION: 204 Wight Ave. Hunt Valley, MD 21031\nSTART DATE: June 7, 2027\nHOURS: Full-time 10-week Program (Hybrid)\nQUALIFICATIONS:\nCurrent enrollment as an undergraduate college Junior student in a relevant academic program.\nRelevant Academic programs include Food Science, Chemistry, Culinary Science, Nutrition Science or other science.\nExcellent oral and written communication skills required\nProficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint required\nExperience working in a laboratory or kitchen environment preferred.\nAbility to perform data analysis preferred as well as basic beverage formulation and scale-up calculations, preferred.\nPrior exposure to and/or familiarity with food science concepts preferred.\nAbility to work independently, learn new tasks, solve problems, and show strong self-motivation and initiative.\nDemonstrated organization and planning skills, handling details.\nAbility to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment is required.\nDESCRIPTION OF POSITION:\nAssist with daily flavor customer support activities including sample preparation, sample evaluation/tasting, data gathering, and sending out shipments.\nWork directly with internal beverage and/or food technical team providing hands-on assistance and project guidance.\nCollaborate with other scientists and technologists to deliver ad hoc project results in a timely manner.\nProjects might include flavor application, prototype formulation, base improvement, bench testing and competitive benchmarking.\nMaintain a clean, safe, and orderly lab, including cleaning equipment, organizing supplies, and following all safety protocols.\nMcCormick & Company is an equal opportunity/affirmative action employer.
