Are you up for the challenge?\nPLEASE NOTE : Candidates who require visa sponsorship for employment now or in the future will not be considered for this position.\nQUALIFICATIONS:\n\nCurrent enrollment as an undergraduate college Junior, Senior or graduate student in a relevant academic program. \nRelevant Academic programs include Food Science, Chemistry, Culinary Science, Nutrition Science or other science.\nGrade point average overall minimum of 3.0/4.0 and 3.3 within major required.\nExcellent oral and written communication skills required\nProficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint required\nExperience working in a laboratory or kitchen environment preferred.\nAbility to perform data analysis preferred.\nPrior exposure to and/or familiarity with food science concepts preferred.\nBeginner cooking skills required; Intermediate cooking skills preferred.\nAbility to work independently, learn new tasks, solve problems, and show strong self-motivation and initiative.\nDemonstrated organization and planning skills, handling details. \nAbility to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment is required.\nDESCRIPTION OF POSITION:\nAssist with daily flavor customer support activities. Includes sample preparation, testing, and data gathering.\nWork directly with internal food technical team providing hands-on assistance and project guidance.\nCollaborate with other scientists and technologists to deliver ad hoc project results in a timely manner.\nProjects may include flavor application, prototype formulation, bench testing, evaluation of flavor technologies, and competitive benchmarking.\nCross training with other McCormick departments according to the Intern’s interests including Sensory Science, QA/QC, Flavor Creation, and Sales/Marketing.\nMcCormick & Company is an equal opportunity/affirmative action employer.
