They receive instruction, guidance, and direction from others within the team, and they will leverage their conceptual knowledge of theories, practices, and procedures related to instrumentation and controls, and engineering.\n Key Tasks and Responsibilities:\nPerform detailed design engineering, analysis, and calculations on basic engineering tasks\nApply knowledge and skills to complete routine assignments under close supervision and mentoring\nPrepare clear and accurate detailed design calculations and analyses including design reports and procedures\nOrganize own work to meet deadlines set by others\nCommunicate information, asking questions and checking for understanding\nGain an understanding of the project scope of work, specifications, schedule, and all inter-discipline requirements \nPrepare sketches of detailed design to guide Designers\nReview MTOs for requisitions\nCheck drawings\nKeep the Lead Engineer apprised of all activities, progress, and concerns\nDevelop an awareness of costs related to own work\nDevelop a basic understanding of MDR's business and the customers it serves\nDevelop basic knowledge of MDR's business units and interactions including engineering, fabrication, and marine functions\nDevelop advanced skills in the use of standard productivity tools such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint \nPrepare the development of key project deliverables, including (but not limited to) the following: Vessel Level Sketches \nInstrument Index \nInstrument Data Sheets \nInstrument Calculations (i.e., Valves, Flowmeters, etc.) \nP&ID Development \n\nParticipate in project reviews, including (but not limited to) the following: P&ID Reviews \n\nDevelopment and support of vendor packages, including (but not limited to) the following: Create requisition packages for basic instrumentation \nReview supplier documents for basic instrumentation and mechanical packages \n\nSite support, including (but not limited to) the following: Provide technical support to Construction personnel for I&C engineering-related inquiries as needed\n\nReports to: Project: Lead Engineer\nFunctional: Supervising Engineer or Engineering Manager\nLiaise with: Engineers, Design Supervisors, and Designers of their own discipline\n Essential Qualifications and Education:\nBachelor’s degree in Electrical, or Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering (Master’s Degree is Preferred) \n0-3 years of experience in oil and gas;
