(Eng) and Engineering.\n Key Tasks and Responsibilities:\nPerform detailed design engineering, analysis, and calculations on basic engineering tasks related to Telecom systems as applicable\nApply knowledge and skills to complete routine assignments under close supervision and mentoring\nPrepare clear and accurate detailed design calculations and analyses including design reports and procedures\nOrganize own work to meet deadlines set by others\nClearly communicate information, asking questions and checking for understanding\nGain an understanding of the project scope of work, specifications, schedule, and all inter-discipline requirements\nPrepare sketches of detailed designs to guide Designers\nReview MTOs for requisitions\nCheck drawings\nKeep the Lead Engineer apprised of all activities, progress, and concerns\nDevelop an awareness of costs related to own work\nDevelop a basic understanding of MDR's business and the customers it serves\nDevelop basic knowledge of MDR's business units and interactions including engineering, fabrication, and marine functions\nDevelop advanced skills in the use of standard productivity tools such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint\nFurther develop knowledge of Telecom related systems (FDS, GDS, CCTV, TEL/LAN) and become familiar with other Telecom systems, such as Radio Systems (RS), Intercom Systems (IS), Public Address General Alarm Systems (PA-GA), Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS), and/or Access Control Systems (ACS), etc. \nReports to:\nProject: Lead Engineer\nFunctional: Supervising Engineer or Engineering Manager\nLiaise With: Engineers, Design Supervisors, and Designers of their own discipline\n Essential Qualifications and Education:\nBachelor’s Degree in electrical or Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering (Master's Degree is Preferred) \n0-3 years of experience in oil and gas \nPreferably Registered Engineer in Training (EIT) or member of a professional engineering society\nLearn the content and application of standards, codes, and guidelines as applicable\nLearning design techniques and analysis
