and precedents.\n Key Tasks and Responsibilities:\nPerform FEED, Studies, and detailed design engineering, analysis, and calculations on more complex and demanding engineering tasks\nApply knowledge and skills to complete varied assignments\nPrepare clear and accurate detailed design calculations and analyses, including design reports and procedures\nPrioritize and organize own work to meet deadlines\nFocus on completing work within budgets\nClearly communicate and explain information in straightforward engineering activities\nFocus on health and safety policies and procedures\nGain familiarity with the project scope of work, specifications, schedule, and all inter-discipline requirements, including identifying concerns as early as practicable\nInitiate interface with other disciplines to obtain input for discipline designs\nPrepare design calculations as required\nFamiliar with P&ID Line List, Equipment List, Layout, Piping Specifications, and design basis\nPerform engineering checks prepared by others within the discipline\nPerform design verification through single discipline check and assist with inter-discipline checks (IDC)\nProvide engineering support as required\nAssist in the preparation of subcontract documents\nPrepare a list of Special Piping Items, Piping and Valves specification, and datasheets\nReview P&IDs with reference to Piping Material and Valve specification\nProvide input for Linelist, including NDE\nPerform Pipe Stress Analysis and prepare reports\nProvide critical pipe support loads to Civil/Structural\nPerform design calculations such as pipe wall thickness, reinforcement pad, trunnion support, etc\nPrepare Material Requisitions, Technical queries, Tech Bid Evaluations, and Purchase Requisitions for Engineered Piping Equipment\nReview vendor data\nReview Piping MTO with respect to Material Requisition \nProvide input to the Piping Subcontract\nAlert the team of any deviation from the Scope of work or a need for a change order\nReports to:\nProject: Senior Piping Engineer, Lead Engineer\nFunctional: Supervising Department Manager\nLiaise With: All design/drafting disciplines, all Engineering disciplines, Construction site/Fabrication groups, and Document\nControl\nSupervises: Trainee Engineers\n Essential Qualifications and Education:\nBachelor's Degree or Master's Degree in Engineering\n3-8 years of experience in oil and gas with a major contractor or consultant predominantly performing detail design\nFamiliar with the content and application of standards, codes, and guidelines as applicable\nKnowledge of many basic design techniques and analysis methods\nPreferably Registered Engineer in Training (ElT) or member of professional engineering society as applicable\nEager to learn\nWorking knowledge of English, both oral and written\nHSE, TQM, and cost-conscious\nShow flexibility and ensure proper hand-over with regards to:The reassignment to other departments, construction sites, and fabrication yards\nThe replacement of colleagues during illness and holidays\nThe provision of assistance to other colleagues with heavy workloads (also other projects) when possible/desirable\nThe managing/learning of future current working methods and software applications\n\nAccredited engineering degree as may be required by specific regions\nFamiliar with the use of codes and
