As such, they must have in-depth expertise in project engineering as well as broad knowledge of the project engineering discipline within the engineering function.\n Key Tasks and Responsibilities:\nManage the engineering scope of a McDermott project \nEstablish and implement project procedures to ensure deliverables meet quality and technical content requirements in accordance with contract documents \nManage the technical execution to support the business considerations established for the project \nMay be responsible for a Unit/Area, a specific function, or may be assigned the Project Engineering Manager role depending upon the size and complexity of the project \nRegularly requested to support the preparation of proposals for prospective projects \nMay be assigned as the Project Engineering Manager (PEM) for smaller or medium size EPC projects \nPractice and promote Safety in designs and work processes \nHelp prepare and understand the requirements of Engineering in the contract documents \nProvide direction to and coordinate with the Engineering and Design Leads on an assigned project \nDevelop and implement the Project Execution Plan Incorporate multi-office execution as appropriate (MOPEX) \nDevelop internal/external Division of Responsibility (DOR) matrix as required \nPrepare a Project Coordination Procedure \n\nCommunicate project requirements to the team \nSupervise and provide guidance to other Project Engineers \nEnsure effective communication among engineering disciplines Document discussions and decisions related to the design \nPrepare, review, and approve meeting minutes \nPrepare, review, and approve Technical Queries, Design Deviations \nPrepare, review, and approve responses to RFI’s and other correspondence \nPrepare and approve weekly and monthly reports for management \n\nAssume responsibility for cost, schedule, quantity, and budget control \nManage change effectively and proactively \nDevelop and maintain Project Engineering documents Assemble and approve the Engineering Staffing Plan \nEquipment List \nPotential Change Notices \nWeekly and Monthly reports for management \nAction item lists (internal and external) \n\nReview work with clients, management, and project leads \nCoordinate third-party interfaces \nIdentify problems and coordinate with the engineering team to correct \nLead orderly handover and archiving of the completed project Approve and submit the closeout report \nReview and approve Lessons Learned submitted \n\nReview and provide input to Company work processes and procedures as requested \nReports to:\nProject: Project Engineering Manager, Project Manager\nFunctionally: Manager of Project Engineering/Eng Director\nLiaise With: Project Engineer, PEM, PM, Discipline Lead Engineers, Eng Dept Managers, Construction/Fabrication team,\nProject Controls, Finance\nSupervises: Project Engineer; Engineering Discipline Leads on a Project (as PEM)\n Essential Qualifications and Education:\n• Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree in Engineering.15-20 years of Project Engineering experience.\nRequires depth and/or breadth of expertise in own specialized discipline or field.\nField assignment experience.\nExperience in International Projects.\nExperience with multi-office (MOPEX) execution.\nExperience in execution as part of a Joint Venture or Consortium Group.\nExperience developing proposals and contractual documentation.\nExperience in revamping (Brownfield) and grassroots (Greenfield) projects.\nDemonstrates a broad technical knowledge of detailed design engineering codes and standards.\nFamiliar with detailed engineering and design work procedures and processes.\nAble to read and understand contractual documentation.\nAble to effectively communicate with all stakeholders on a project.\nSolves complex problems;
