The Production Engineer understands critical business drivers and applies this knowledge to solve problems in straightforward situations by analysing possible solutions using technical experience, judgment, and precedents.\nKey Tasks and Responsibilities\nReview project scope of work, schedules, and specifications; understand the requirements and deliverables\nPrepare Scope of Work and Task Listing\nReview the fabrication schedule and suggest corrections to the planning team\nReview drawings for constructability and identify any special items/subcontract requirements\nReview monthly material reports. Ensures and raises problems with material delivery\nReview the material requisitions prior to the order\nCheck grade, plate sizing assumptions\nInitiate site queries to utilize available material (substitutions)\nProvide field guidance and ensure compliance with Company specification\nAttend production meetings and report concerns\nMonitor scope changes and Production revision orders\nReport weekly fabrication progress and monitor production man-hours and productivity\nReview four weeks look ahead plans and identify the constraints (material/drawings)\nCoordinate with the construction engineer to ensure procedures are issued timely/ all parties understand any change\nCoordinate any sub-contract scope\nReview as-built drawings\nCoordinate materials movements within the yard\nCoordinate with shop/erection floor planning to ensure compliance with the project plan.\nApprove relevant fabrication drawings and review Work Pack deliverables in accordance with Work Pack Index\n Essential Qualifications and Education\nBachelor’s Degree in Engineering\n3+ years of experience in oil and gas with major contractor or consultant\nFamiliar with the content and application of API RP2A, AISC, and AWS\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills \nStrong knowledge of industry standards and best practices related to production processes and facilities\nSuccessful degree holding candidates will be required to provide a degree equivalency certificate issues by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research (MoHESR).
