They are responsible for analyzing practical solutions using established processes and procedures while developing knowledge of the Company, its processes, and customers. The Risk Management Specialist understands key business drivers and applies technical judgment, experience, and established methodologies to support effective project risk and opportunity management.\n Key Tasks and Responsibilities:\nCarry out Project Risk & Opportunity Management (PROM) activities for projects during the tendering, handover, and execution phases.\nEngage with project discipline teams to facilitate the risk management process and ensure effective stakeholder participation.\nParticipate in project risk review meetings with project teams, JV/consortium partners, and clients as required.\nPerform quantitative risk analysis and support project contingency management activities.\nMaintain project risk and opportunity registers, ensuring risks, opportunities, mitigation actions, ownership, and status updates remain current throughout the project lifecycle.\nAssist in the identification, assessment, analysis, and monitoring of project risks and opportunities.\nPrepare and deliver updates for project risk reports, dashboards, and business line risk and opportunity reporting requirements.\nCollect, organize, validate, and maintain project risk management data and associated project information.\nSupport the maintenance, administration, and continuous development of McDermott's project risk and opportunity management tools and processes.\nCollaborate with project teams to promote effective risk management practices and continuous improvement initiatives.\n Essential Qualifications and Education:\nBachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction, Business, Project Management, or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of technical training and experience.\n3-6 years of experience supporting project risk management, project controls, engineering, construction, or EPC project execution activities.\nStrong understanding of project risk and opportunity management principles, processes, and best practices.\nPrevious exposure to the energy, oil & gas, chemicals, or EPC industry is preferred.\nExcellent analytical and data management skills with proficiency in digital tools, databases, Microsoft Office applications, and Power BI.\nPrevious exposure to quantitative risk analysis techniques and methodologies is preferred.\nExperience working with project risk management systems, databases, or related software tools is preferred.\nAbility to analyze data, identify trends, correlations, and provide meaningful project insights to support decision-making.\nStrong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail.\nAbility to collaborate effectively across project disciplines and proactively engage with stakeholders.\nStrong written and verbal communication skills.\nSelf-motivated, organized, detail-oriented, and capable of working across multiple time zones and project environments.\nAffiliate or Associate membership in a relevant professional institution is
