It’s bonus points when you get to see your family and friends use the tech you build at their favorite McD restaurant.\nThe Agile Scrum Master role reports to the Agile Coach in CPP supporting Restaurant tech teams in the Kiosk Domain. As a Scrum Master at McDonald’s, you will be responsible for the daily operations of an agile squad, facilitating the work of the squad and scrum ceremonies, and ensuring the team is fully functional and productive. You will help the squad self-organize, focus on outcomes, and get work to a finished state. The Scrum Master is an Agile expert and helps the teams adopt what Scrum/Agile routines and fosters high performing teams.\nDuties\nEnsure Scrum ceremonies (e.g., stand ups, sprint planning, sprint retrospectives, etc.) are executed properly, driving team to develop and deploy faster.\nChampion Agile CoE standards and processes within the team, being a front-line change agent.\nSupport Agile Coach in educating the team, executing Agile best practices, promoting self-organization, and driving toward high-functioning teams.\nEliminates blockers and external interferences to development progress.\nHelps Product Manager maintain the product backlog and holds team accountable to defining stories at the right level.\nSupports Product Manager in defining Definition of Done (DoD) for the product.\nReports to the Product Manager and owns reporting and communication of scrum progress.\nParticipates in scrum of scrums with other teams as needed.\nAddresses issues with their process and holds the squad to quality.\nCaptures key squad metrics and supports team improvement.\nMaintains and cleans up JIRA in alignment with best practices.\nQualifications\nBasic Qualifications\n2+ years’ experience in mentoring and guiding Agile teams.\nUnderstanding of the Scrum framework, with a demonstrated history of mentoring high performing teams.\nUnderstanding Agile software delivery, the path to production and other operational aspects.\nExperience with Agile toolsets (e.g., Jira, Confluence, etc.)\nExperience with teamwork across a large, sophisticated, globally-matrixed organization\nExcellent understanding of the latest development technologies\nA love of new technologies and the drive to find ways to implement better tools and processes\nExcellent communications and stakeholder management skills and strong Emotional Intelligence to read verbal and nonverbal cues in others so you can communicate effectively and cultivate healthy working relationships.\nPossess one or more Scrum certifications (CSM, PSM)\nWillingness and ability to live the McDonald’s values every day: Serve, Inclusion, Integrity, Community, and Family.\nPreferred Qualifications\nDemonstrated experience of coaching technology teams on Agile best practices\nFamiliar with change management techniques to facilitate cultural and organizational shifts.\nKnowledge across several Agile frameworks including, Lean, Agile-Scrum, Kanban, Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe), Extreme Programing (XP).\nExperience working in a Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) industry.\nCompensation\nBonus Eligible: Yes\nLong - Term Incentive: Yes\nBenefits Eligible: Yes\nSalary Range\nThe expected salary range for this role is $93,208.00 - $116,510.00 per year\nThe above represents the expected salary range for this job requisition.
