GSSS is a division within McDonald’s Global Supply Chain and provides Indirect Procurement support across a variety of categories.\nThe person in this position will be responsible for the assured supply of products to our restaurants while also providing the best value to our System and maintaining the safety and quality of our products. In addition, the role ensures suppliers are in alignment with our Corporate objectives and provides support to the Franchisees and restaurants in achieving their goals. Key stakeholders will include the Global Design and Development teams, Senior Management on the Global Supply Chain team, Franchisees, and Suppliers.\nDuties\nPrincipal Accountabilities\nIn addition to following McDonald’s policies and procedures, principal accountabilities include, but are not limited to:\nStrategic Sourcing and Category Management\nExecuting and championing GSSS’s 7-Step Strategic Sourcing process\nManaging assigned categories and associated supplier relationships\nLeading category communications\nAssuring supply of indirect categories on a Global basis with competitive total cost of ownership\nEnsuring category contingency plans are in place and executed as required\nOversees and directs category risk management strategy execution\nSubject matter expert on emerging category issues and innovations\nProtects the Brand by ensuring the compliance of our products is in alignment with McDonald’s standards\nResponsible for Global Indirect savings targets\nBusiness and Supplier Relationship Management\nManages the development of suppliers to ensure they are positioned to grow with us\nSupports and directs suppliers to achieve Competitive advantage goals\nValidates supplier competitiveness through external benchmarking\nExecutes supplier negotiations to provide the best value for the system\nRecommends the approval and disapproval of suppliers as necessary\nEstablishes performance and measurement systems for supplier efficiencies\nFacilitates supplier business reviews\nDevelops and implements supplier pricing protocols\nProvides low cost, best value to our System through continuous improvement of our products and services, collaborating with suppliers to ensure that capital is being appropriately allocated to provide the lowest cost of products available\nSupports the Franchisees in achieving their goals including that of increased cash flow\nProvides expertise and support to cross functional teams to help achieve Corporate goals\nEnsures department goals are aligned with and supports Corporate goals\nProvides purchasing & quality expertise to customers as required\nLiaison with various internal departments (QS, National Operations, Development, Menu and Marketing)\nStaff Development\nChampions continuous improvement at the personal and team level\nRespects and values the opinions of others while contributing as a positive team member\nDemonstrates and reinforces the leadership behaviors and people practices necessary to gain commitment from Senior SCM Management, Franchisees, and suppliers\nQualifications\nThree years of Supply Chain/Purchasing experience.\nExtensive knowledge of supply chain principles including procurement and logistics\nAble to influence internal and external stakeholders\nStrong research and analytical capabilities including financial analysis competencies.\nExcellent computer skills including proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI, CoPilot, AI, Outlook\nOutstanding written and verbal communication skills\nExperience working in a fast-paced environment with the ability to adjust quickly to change\nCompensation\nBonus Eligible: Yes\nLong - Term Incentive: No\nBenefits Eligible: Yes\nSalary Range\nThe expected salary range for this role is $78,281.00 - $97,852.00 per year\nThe above represents the expected salary range for this job requisition.
