Department Overview
The Payroll Tax Representative serves as a critical liaison between payroll operations, tax authorities, employees, payroll vendors, and internal stakeholders to ensure compliance with federal, state, local, and, where applicable, international payroll tax requirements
Duties
- Ensure that employment taxes are handled appropriately (including research, data entry, edit review and correction, etc.)
- Timely response to emails as appropriate (address any escalations)
- Provide support to call center and payroll teams for escalated payroll tax inquiries
- Assist and collaborate with other McD teams on payroll tax inquiries/issues
- Maintain a continuous improvement mindset
- Work with Payroll Tax Vendor whenever necessary.
Qualifications
·Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or relevant field.
·4 - 7 years relevant minimum experience required
·US Payroll Tax, Accounting/Finance, experience with complex transactions
·Strong problem-solving skills, ability to work both independently and within a team, aptitude towards technology and applications
